Joselyn is going on her 9th grade field trip to Florida with her class to celebrate graduation from middle school. She's going to be paired up with a strange boy that she's never met before to have for 3 weeks as her roomate in the Mellington Hotel. Soon, she finds herself unevitably attracted to him, and realizes the 3 weeks of Disney kid rides will be turned into something much more memorable.

Chapter 1

"Jesus, why is it taking so long to get there?" My best friend, Amy, mumbled, a little too loudly.
"Shut up, Madimoselle Lunard is watching us like an effing hawk." I hissed.
"Whatever," Amy bravely huffed, flashing the middle finger hastily at our almost-retired French teacher when she wasn't looking.
I hid my head under my hands, listening for the predictable "Detention!" that surprisingly never came.
"You know, they're pairing up the room mates randomly. Like, a girl could be set up with a boy. Weird, huh? I didn't think Lunard would let is pass. You know how paranoid she is about -" I swallowed. "People fooling around."
I have this weird thing where whenever someone mentions anything having to do with a girl and a guy getting physical I just start panicking and get all embarassed. It's a little bit different when it's talked about around Amy though, I've known her for 10 years, since we were babybsat by the same sitter at the age of 5.
"Yeah, I better get with Kev. This stuffy bus ride is making me fidgety AND hornaaayyy. I need to get it on with him sooner or later."
'Kev' is Kevin, Amy's boyfriend of 1 month. They've known each other for...well, about a month. They met at some teenage dance party and from then on have had no shame in feeling each other up in front of yours truly. Frankly, I find it kind of gross. Especially, when it's Kevin and Amy.
"Too much info. Either way, I don't care who I end up with, as long as they're not the kind of person who invites their friends at midnight when I'm trying to sleep." I said, biting my nails carelessly.
"You have to stop stupid habit." Amy cried, pulling my teeth away from my fingers. "And no offense, but you are too much of an introvert for me not to wish that you do end up with someone who likes to party. You could use a good night."
"Thanks, real nice. And I'm not an introvert. Even if I was, that's not a BAD thing. I just don't get all freaked out when I don't have a beer in my hand or am not at a club or am only chilling at home instead of out hanging with friends. I don't see how it's so bad to be alone just relaxing once in a while." I tried to speak coolly, as if this topic wasn't brought up by Amy all the time.
"Once in a while? Hah. Trust me, you need to get out every now and then." She suddenly perked up and I followed her glance out the window to the large, brick hotel hovering over us, so huge that I could have sworn it skimmed the clouds.
Mellington Hotel.
