him merely stating that fact made me feel like part of the gang. i smiled back at him. "so you used to live in Las Vegas?" he asked me. "yeah. for a few years. but we just moved here and i am ready to forget everything and everyone in Vegas. " i said. we were leaning on a railing looking into the dark water off the pier. the pier goes 100 feet off into the ocean. we were at the very edge. then i saw it. a dolphin jumped up out of the water right in front of us. i screamed, startled, and jump into Lukes arms. he hugged me and laughed. "it was just a dolphin." he said and smiled at. "i know, im sorry, its just...it scared me. and i've never seen a dolphin so up close before!" i said. he just smiled. a few more dolphins started jumping and soon they were providing a show. i was giggling and watching along with Luke. the sun was setting. then i felt my iphone start to vibrate. i pulled it out, it was my mother. "hello?" i asked. "are you getting ready?" she asked me. "for...??" i asked. "the gala!?!?!? my work gala? all the kids of the employes are invited?" she said. "oh cr@p!!!!!!" i said and hung up. "Im so sorry Luke but i have to go to this work gala thing for my mom. i'll catch up with you guys sometime tomorrow. bye!" i said and ran for my car. i hopped in and rushed home. i got their and pulled a really cute utfit together in a short amount of time. it was actually perfect. i looked hot and it didnt look too s3xy. so this way moms bosses would be impressed but not intimidated.

i drove to the gala and saw my mother waiting by the door. i had a valet park my car, and ran to meet my mother. "wow, you do look stunning for changing in 30 minutes." she said and grabbed my hand and led me inside. "15. it took 15 to drive home and to here." i said. she was even more impressed. "now come one. i want you to meet my bosses son. he is apparently, quite a gentlemen. however, i dont think he is here just yet." she said and she guided me to the bar. "mother! you know i cant drink yet?! when is child services when you need them!?" i said and laughed. she joined in and we looked like a pair of lunatics. "a sprite in a martini glass please." my mother told the bar tender and then was consumed in a conversation with an elderly couple. then i felt a tap on my shoulder. i grabbed my sprite and turned around. there stood, nun other than, Luke. he looked amazing in his tuxedo. "not drinking now are we? Andy you know thats not right! how many times do i have to tell you!?" he said to me in a mock parental tone. he then took the drink from my hand and took a sip. "ah sprite i take it?" he asked, "my mom ordered for me. she doesnt like me to have more than one glass of shampange." i said and smiled at him. "my father too. i cant drink here until im 18, since thats the hawaiian law." he said. "you look gorgeous. that color really brings out your tan." he said and smiled as the bartender handed him a sprite like mine, and led to a group of teens near a corner of the room. this will be a better night than i though! i hope.....
