It's come to my attention that there are a lot of rumors going around Quibblo thanks to some people who didn't bother looking things up and backing up their information. So, I'm going to set the record straight.

Late last night/early this morning, I recieved an invitation to a story titled "Harry Potter 8!!!!!!!" Naturally, I clicked on the link, because I figured it was just another fanfic. Not so. It contained a link to an "article" claiming that J.K. Rowling was writing another Harry Potter book. Being a huge HP fan, I read the article, then sighed in dispair as I noticed that there was no interview with J.K. Rowling listed. It was complete bogus!
Being the stubborn girl I am, I decided to double check, just in case. I checked Mugglenet and J.K's official site. There was nothing about her writing an eighth, other than it was a possiblity and that she was writing again. The latter was confirmed in March. She did not say, though, that it was Harry Potter.
Now that I've said my part, I hope that everyone who's been spreading the lies will see the truth. Sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but next time, check your facts.

Told you she doestn have a daughter! And also shes done with Harry Potter she might though be doing a Harry Potter book thats like with information about speels and stuff like that but its not gonna be like the 8th book its gonna be like the tales of beedle the bard book
She actually does have a daughter. That's on her site, and in the dedication to some of the books!

Well yeah I guess...but Im still going to hope that she writes another book. And just because you don't agree, that doesn't mean that you should put everyone down. And my friend told me that so naturally I got excited. And you don't need to put me down because of that. I technically didn't lie and I did back up my information because I had two links. As you can see, I deleted it because you made such a big deal. So it's really mean to put this up saying this. Let people think what they want...
And keep your nose out if it. Just because one person said there was going to be a HP8 doesn't mean that there are slot of rumors. And even if there were you can't change everyones mind. Anyone who was my friend on here would know that Iade that little thing because I though so. So it wasn't very anonymous. I'd written this before you deleted. In fact, I wrote this first thing this morning. And I wasn't attempting to be mean. I was simply stating the facts and correcting some misinformation
She's not putting anyone down, she's telling everyone that regardless, there is no information that there will be an eighth HP book. Even if you put two links in, it doesn't matter if they didn't back up what you were saying....Jerk.
No problem honeslty I'd rather someone face the real facts now then have the rumor spread and spread and then w're all let down by the fact there is no book.
Plus maybe an eight would ruin the series: My opion there would be more to love.
But the yeah I can go on and on but I'm running out of room...
I would love it if there was another one on it's way but it wouldn't be the same as the others since it may or may not be about harry and since they ended the 7th with his future why woul dit be
I personally, don't think she should write any more HP books- I love them, don't get me wrong- but she finished the series off really well and I think that if she wrote andother book lots of people would be disappointed and it would tarnish the memory of Harry Potter. I would be throlled if she were to write a different series as she is a great natural writer and should use her talent! :D

Thanks for clearing things up! I did not think it was true, plus that has been going around FOREVER! (Athough I wish she would write another one about Albus Severus!!! :) )
i would love if she was doing anothe harry potter.....but at least shes writing agian!
Hmm nice to know...I didn't even know there was rumor! I guess i should update on these kinda of things...
