Jupiter's Love~

"W-why?!" I stammered through sobs. "W-w-why don't you love me?"

Tyler looked at his feet, his black hair falling in front of his face.

I sighed. This was NO time for him to start acting all cute.

"I...dunno." Tyler looked up to the sky.

I breathed heavily. That's it. THAT IS IT. "THAT'S ALL?! ALL YOU CAN SAY IS 'I DUNNO'. I LOVE YOU!!!!!"

He sighed, "you don't understand."

"No. NO. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!! I HAVE NEVER, EVER FELT SO STRONGLY ABOUT SOMEONE."





There was a long silence after that. I decided that I would be the first to speak.

"Give me one reason why you don't love me." I whispered, crying. "Please."

"You're thirteen. I'm sixteen. And we're so..." He looked for the right word to say. "...Different."

I cried even harder. Different.

"Then we'll go our separate ways. Here and now." I said sadly.

A pained look appeared on Tyler's face, "No. Please Jupiter. I don't want that. I just want to be friends. We always were."

"You're so clueless, Tyler. I never wanted to be 'just friends'. And, age should NEVER matter. If two people love each other, then age shouldn't stand in the way of true love."

"Jupiter, I--"

"Goodbye, Tyler. Goodbye forever."

And before he could say anything else, I ran.

I ran far away from Tyler, and the cold, bitter, air surrounding him.

Sadly, I had no one to go home to. My parents were murdered, so it's just my and my golden retriever puppy, Romeo.

While I mope around, crying, I'll tell you how Tyler and I met.

I'm super smart. Since I'm all alone with no money for extracurricular activities, I put my heart and soul into studying. So, after my teachers at middle school discovered that I'm too smart for grades 7 and 8 work, they put me in high school. Marie Mai High, too be exact.


I walked into Homeroom. My teacher, Mr. McFreed stared at me intently.


"Hello, Miss. I think you walked into the high school division by mistake. Here, let me take you back--"

I giggled. "Um, sir, you won't believe this but..."

I explained everything to him.

Mr. McFreed gave me a knowing smile, "I see. So you're... Miss Jupiter." He let out a hearty chuckle. "Mr. Lee, our science teacher, will ADORE you."

I smiled and took my seat.



"Hello."



I looked over at the speaker....



And I nearly fainted.



I felt like I was going on a huge rollarcoaster. My heart couldn't stop beating. HE WAS ADORABLE!!!

He was wearing a dark hoodie with the words Can't forget you... printed on it in neon red ink. He also wore navy blue jeans, red sneakers, and a necklace with a cross on it. The cutest thing was his jet-black hair, which, I noticed, sexily fell in front of his violet eyes.


Then, I looked at myself. I was wearing a white dress that went down to my knees, and it had black lace around the edges. My hair was pulled back with a sparkly white headband, and I was wearing black-laced wedge heels. My bright-green eyes were coated with liquid eyeliner and a thick coat of mascara.


We were total opposites. But I didn't care.



I was in LOVE~!



"...Are you new? You seem young. Anyways, I'm Tyler." He--uhh--Tyler said.

I zoned out of my dream. "Yeah, I'm new. I-I'm only thirteen. But I take college courses."

Tyler seemed impressed. "So, have any siblings? What's your story?"

I blushed my pink-ish blush. "My sisters, June and Juliet, and my parents, Mai and Jay were murdered."

Tyler gasped, "I'm so sorry! I didn't know."

I laughed. "It's all good. Oh! I don't think I told you my name! It's Jupiter."

Tyler smiled, showing off his pearly white teeth "awesome name."

I blushed. "Thanks."

After the bell rang, I went from class to class, praying that I would see Tyler again.

Fortunately, Tyler is in gym, english, bio, and math with me.

UNfortunately, I never saw him at lunch.



After that, whenever I heard his name, I'd smile and sigh. Everyday I was bubbly and happy because I knew I would see him. I had fallen in love. Head-over-heels in LOVE~!

Thinking of that story made me cry all over again.


I'll never speak to him again. I'll never, ever, see his beautiful face again. I'll never hear his poetic, deep, voice again. I'll never---



Suddenly, Romeo jumped up and started licking my face. Even if I was sad, Romeo could cheer me up. Sigh...

I pet Romeo, then I walked around my small, cheap apartement. It was small, but it was where Juliet, June and I lived before they were killed.


I sighed again. I used to be rich. My parents owned a television company. Sadly, people wanted to harm my parents, they wanted to take our money. Two twenty year olds managed to kill my parents, but my sisters, Romeo and I escaped. We hid. People wanted to get rid of all of us. I was out walking Romeo when they got my sisters.



But, why did I feel lonely?! I sobbed. It wasn't because my family was dead (I learned to sort of accept their death). Was it because of Tyler?



Gosh!! I can't stop thinking about him. I groaned. I just needed some sleep, that's all.


I curled up, and slept.

The next day I went to Marie Mai High early to tell them I was leaving to go to St. Catherine's High School.


Mrs. Kaylin, the principal, gave me a big hug when I told her.

"Well, we'll certainly miss our star pupil."

I smiled. "I know, I'll miss you guys too, but... Something came up."

"Is there anything I can do?" Mrs. Kaylin grabbed my shoulders and squeezed them tightly.

I sighed and tucked a blonde strand of hair behind my ear, "not really."


"Okay, sweetheart." She hugged me again.

"Bye." I walked away...



And, from that moment, I knew my life would change completely.
