Tea Tango
I was bored, so this story popped into my head!
The girl wakes up-- I won't tell you her name, she doesn't have one really-- in a strange world. She has been sitting there for a while, maybe. Or perhaps, she's only been there for a second, but she doesn't know. There's a tea set in front of her, as well as a little boy she feels as if she's best friends with.
I dedicate every chapter to Kaeru and Kof. They are the heart and soul of this story, and they're the ones who force me to write more.
Chapter 1
Spicy Tea
The girl-- I will not mention her name, for it was as if she'd never had one or she hadn't needed one before-- at some time noticed that she was sitting at a table. It was a nice white table, it had no stains whatsoever, just pure white. There was a tea set on it, every piece white just like the table. There was a tea cup right in front of her with some sort of red-colored tea, steam coming off of it. Unlike the rest of the set, there was a pale pink flower on her cup.
The tea smelled of strawberries, and a very fresh bunch of strawberries to be exact. She would've thought that she had never smelled strawberries so fresh before, but she wasn't sure of anything she had done "before." All she knew was that table, she didn't know how long she'd been there, where she'd been before, or even if there was a before. She did not know any scent before that strawberry tea. She had felt nothing other than her hands gently resting in her lap.
When she looked up from her tea, she noticed a young boy with short black hair sitting opposite of her gazing at her. As she gazed back, a smile spread across his face. She felt something inside of herself warm up, as if this boy was a friend of hers.
"How many sugar cubes would you like?" he said warmly.
"I don't need any, this tea seems sweet enough." she sent a smile back to him.
"You may want some milk in the tea though, it's very spicy today." he said.
"Oh? Very well then, I'll trust you." she responded, a bit surprised. She couldn't think of a time when she had drunk spicy tea-- in fact, she couldn't think of any times that she had ever drunk tea...
The boy picked up a small tea cup about half of the size of the normal ones. It was full of milk that had a blue tint to it.
"I hope you don't mind, I like my milk sour." he said, studying the blue milk.
"Not a bit, it will compliment the tea well, in my opinion." She gave him a thumbs up so that he would know it was fine to pour it in. As he did, the tea ran over, but when it hit the table, it disappeared. Once he was finished pouring the milk in, he set the cup down.
As she looked in the cup, she noticed that the tea had now turned purple. She picked it up and drank a huge mouthful. As she did this, she knew that it had been a bad mistake. She could not taste the sourness of the milk, but only the spiciness of the tea. At least it had warmed her up a bit, but she hadn't even realized she was cold.
"I think I'll call you Tea, because I met you when we were drinking tea together." the boy said suddenly, making her cough a bit.
"Then what will I call you?" Tea asked.
"Everyone calls me Bonnet, because when I came here I was wearing a bonnet. I've long since lost it now, though."
"It should be very boring if we were to sit here drinking tea all day, shall we go somewhere else?" she asked, starting to stand up.
"Of course, I shall take you to meet Book." he said, getting up as well.
