Another World

Hi I was going to do a kinda boring chapter but I decided after a long break away and many a hours improving my writing to make this one Fun, really hope you enjoy it people who read this. P.S. Ella's tempermante has changed yo a bit to a joker, like Jo-ann in my Harry Potter story.

"Ahhhhh!", my scream brought me out of my deep sleep and I was met by many grumblings and frightened cries, then a thump followed by a series of uncontrolled guffaws. I swiveled my head around in the direction of the thump I saw Ella sprawled on the floor and laughing like a madman on giggle gas. I looked at her in a way that suggested that I didn't find what was so funny about it and she stilled her laughing for a moment to spit out.
"Cau... my leg... gotta... see it... to accpre...", that was all she got out before another set of laughs rumbled up through her chest again.
"Are you okay Alanis", Amber asked my with concerned eyes. I nodded my head uncertainly, my head was aching like I was the one who'd just fallen off the bed. I keeped repeating 'it was just a dream' in my head as I pulled the covers off and searched for the clothing.
Ella stopped giggling, jumped onto her bed and pulled her legs underneath herself, she had an amused expression on her face.
I found the clothes, looked at the pieces of fabric and decided it was best to keep my own clothes. Ella was still smiling at me when I sat back down on my bed and started pulling on my own socks. I noticed with apprecation that all our clothes had been washed in the middle of the night. Ella's amused expression lasted for awhile before I cracked and let out a stiffled yell.
I didn't yell to loud for fear of insulting her but I was still annoyed by her look." What's so funny!".
Ella feigned surprise and hurt but she still answered in an annoyingly funny tone." I'm just laughing at the fact that you haven't noticed the sky's black", she burst out laughing again but this time was silenced by a knock at the door. I straightened up and called out to the people on the other side.
"Just a minute we're getting dressed", there was silence then muffled agreement and warning to hurry up. We all got up out of bed and hurried our clothes on, all of us decided against the clothing provided and got dressed in our warmer clothes but took the vest in our piles.
Ella opened the door a crack and I followed after her. It was James and his friends, they had a terrified look on their faces and were speaking to Ella in hushed voices. Her face paled when she was told what ever it is. I leaned closer and listened to their conversation.
"Where?" Ella asked. James cast a fleeting look at me and increased his volume so I could hear.
"Outside the castle".
"What?! Right outside, how do we get out?!", James shrugged his shoulders and Ella shuffled further out into the corridor, I followed.
"They said there's a passage at the end of the hall", he gestured into the deep darkness of the passage. The was a shuffle behind me and I felt Amber grab my shoulder and pulled me around to face the window she pointed silently to the see-through curtains. I gasped and everyone turned to face the window. There was some-one moving past the window and casting shadows in the dark room, another one went past and another.
"Those the one's?" Ella asked James in a low and petrified voice, he nodded silently as I moved closer to the window. There were things still moving outside the window but when I got there they'd stopped, fortunatly (or un-fortunatly) I got a glimspe of them as I pulled the curtains apart an inch.
All i could see was an unfriendly black painted face with equally unwelcome black amour. They looked like demons with their glowing red eyes and fire tipped tails that flicked from side to side licking their faces with the small flame. I backed away from the window as hurriedly as I could without arousing any attention from the things. I grabbed mine and Ella's things from beside my bed and nearly ran back to the door.
I silently handed Ella her back-pack and swung mine onto my shoulders, Amber and Rose'd already grabbed theirs and were waiting outside in the windowless hallway. I stared at the window waiting for more to come whilst Ella did as best she could to fasten her blade to her belt with a piece of string and the sheath.
James and his entourage were tying their blades to their belts when the figures started moving outside again. I held my breath and started stepping silently out into the corridor pulling Ella along with me. One fiqure moved into the view of our window but this it stopped. We all stopped moving and waited for the creature to move but he stayed. I heard a shrill commanding voice then the window was blown out of it's frame with an ear shattering boom..
"Ssssssis ssssomeones heeresssss", it said in a snake like voice. behind me Rose let out a scream, James wanked Ella and I out into the corridor and slammed the heavy door as the thing dove after us inexpertianly waving a rust covered sword. The thing slammed against the door and a resounding 'bang' that echoed around the empty hall. I tripped over my feet and landed on the ice cold tiles when more bangs hammered on the door these ones were more purposed than the first. Ella quickly helped me up and the banging on the door turned to the scratching of in long need of a prune fingernails.
After realising they were searching for the handle Rose sreamed "Run!" then she started hurtling herself down the hall, in the direction James had pointed, at break neck speed. We all followed without a second to think. We reached the wall pretty quickly and James started scrambling for something on the wall.
The things suddenly burst through the door at the other end of the hall and turned their red eyes upon us. Rose and Amber lost their cool and hugged each other whilst crying their eyes out. James was muttering something and sometimes he'd kicked the wall as the creatures started closing in rapidly.
"It's here! I can feel it!" James yelled frustratedly.
"Oh for gods sake", I said pushed James over and kicked the bloody wall in. A hidden door about waist height swung in and everyone scrambled in. One of James' friend climbed in last, closed the door shut found a lock and clicked that as well. It all went dark inside the small tunnel we where in, we all had to be cramped up and down on all fours. There was some knocking and stuff on the door so everyone in the tunnel moved a couple of feet away from the noisey door.
"What the?" It was Ella's voice, she was right next to me.
"Is there a light somewhere?" It was Amber, her voice sounded raspy and cracked.
"Chris don't you have a torch?" A boy asked another boy. There was a scramble and then a light in my eyes.
"Hey!" I said then shielded my eyes. The torch was immeaditatly lowered to the ground and I could see a little around me. As far as I could tell, we were crouching in a earthy tunnel, with tree roots prutruding out of the walls and we were on a down slope. Ella was right behind me and a red haired boy with teeth the size of rabbits was right in front of me peering quite intently at James who was trying to shove his way through the tunnel. "Hey", I grumbled as he slide pass me and Ella. He muttered a sorry and continued to the front grabbing Chris's light on the way.
"Come on, I see light", James yelled down the tunnel and we all started crawling towards his voice. I didn't know what he was talking about though, I couldn't see anything but as I was right behind some-one crawling I was probaly staring at a boys back-side. I heard a squeal further down and a minute after crouching still Rose spoke," sorry it was just a worm". Everyone groaned and crawled towards a distant muddy exit.
"How much longer", Ella groaned behind me.
"Not much longer I can see trees", James said from the front. I had no idea what he was talking about but that's when I fell down out of the tunnel and into a starry landscape. I meant starry aswell, it was only stars, we were standing in the sky!
