Kurt Auzenne - a Pokemon Tale
Heeeey There! I'm Kurt Auzenne,
I'm from Pallet Town. My dream is to
become the Greatest Pokemon Master ever!
Now you may not think I'm worth much at the moment,
but you just wait. Today is the day I receive my very first
Pokemon from Professor Oak and I can't wait, I'm
so excited I can't even sleep. I'm gonna challenge the
Pokemon League and win it all!
This here is my story.

Chapter 1
Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander?
"Well Hey There young man!" Said a smiling face as I stumbled through
the door to Professor Oak's lab. I turned around to see Professor Oak
standing by a machine with two other lads,
I presume they were there for their first Pokemon.
"Sorry I'm late sir, I didn't realise you had said nine thirty."
He beckoned me over while saying, "That's alright, you're only
five minutes late anyway... Now for your first Pokemon."
I looked at the other two boys, one of them was wearing
a green shirt and blue pants, he had a yellow and black baseball
cap and blue sneakers. He was also wearing gloves that looked a few
sizes too big for his hands.
The other boy was looking rather smart in a blue shirt and blue pants,
brown boots and a necklace with a kind of 'yin-yang' sign on it,
"Gramps, I'm sick of waiting, just give us our Pokemon! Remember
I'm going to be the greatest Pokemon Trainer ever, unlike these
morons."
I was feeling angry after the insult but it was the green shirt trainer
who acted and shoved Gary against a wall, "why you little! Who're you
calling a moron? You're the moron if you think you'll become a great
Pokemon Trainer."
"Gary, please stop fighting..." The Professor said calmly, "now...
It is time for you to choose a Pokemon, but before you do... I want you to have
these." He turned to a desk behind him and pulled out three electronic books or something of the sort.
"This is called a Pokedex, you use it to record the Pokemon that you have seen or captured, it is really great technology. When I was young, I had a goal.. To make a complete guide on all the Pokemon in the world... That was my dream." Gary - who I assumed was related to Professor Oak somehow, grunted, "Yeah, yeah, Gramps just give us the Pokemon."
'How rude..' I though to myself, 'this story is getting interesting.' Professor Oak handed us each a Pokedex and I flipped it over in my hand, 'it stores Pokemon Data eh?' I smiled and realised this adventure would be one to last me a lifetime.
Professor Oak then cleared his throat and said, "let us now pick which Pokemon is most suited to be each of your companions." I had been studying the Pokemon that Professor Oak would be handing out to us, there was Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. I looked at the three pokeballs on the machine and wondered which pokemon I would like to take.
I had thought previously about taking the grass type Pokemon, Bulbasaur which would be a powerful ally to have. Then again, Squirtle, the water type.. I'd been told by my father would be one worth raising. The last one, Charmander, the fire type pokemon.
Before I could choose, Gary and the other beginner trainer picked a pokeball each and said, "I pick this one!" I sighed as I picked the last one, guess what I find? A Charmander!
My starter Pokemon, a Charmander, I was so happy. Gary had picked the Squirtle and I envied him a little but the happy little dragon at my feet made me forget about it. I got to my knees and supposed that the other trainer had taken the Bulbasaur. Looking at my Charmander, it had an orange skin colouring with a cream coloured underside. He was now running on the spot with joy and I stroked him on the head.
'Ooh, that reminds me.' I pulled out the Pokedex I had just received and looked up my new pokemon. The electronic voice immediately started speaking, 'Charmander. A flame burns on the tip of its tail from birth. It is said that a Charmander dies if its flame ever goes out.' I smiled to myself, 'Well I guess we'll just never let the flame die out.' I picked up the cheery little guy and said, "time to go back into the Pokeball, I'll see you soon."
The others were ready to leave through the door when Professor Oak stopped them, "Ahem," he coughed and said, "Don't forget these, you will need these Pokeballs to be able to catch other Pokemon." He pulled out fifteen Pokeballs and placed them on a desk, "Five each." We each took five and he said, "Now it is time to begin your Pokemon journey, the road is long, and I hope you learn much, good luck."
With that he shunned us out the door to continue his research I guess. Gary was walking down the path as a red car came along with a bunch of noisy cheerleaders. I could make out their chanting as it got louder, "Gary, Gary, he's our man! If he can't do it no one can!" He pulled out his new pokemon, Squirtle and showed the cheerleaders, "Woohoo!!!" They all cheered for their idol. I turned to the green trainer as he said, "Hey man, haven't properly introduced myself, the name's Tom."
I nodded, "Name's Kurt Auzenne." He smiled, "Nice bro, which Pokemon did you choose?" I pulled out my pokeball and said, "Charmander, I choose you." As I said that, I threw my pokeball up in the air and out popper Charmander. Tom looked at Charmander as it started dancing around cheerily, "Naawww, That's cute bro. I got the Bulbasaur, I'm pretty happy with that." Said Tom.
A smirk came across his face, "Hey, how about we have a Pokemon Battle, I know a great little field up the way, be a good way to learn about our Pokemon."
"I like the sound of that, I nodded."
