Something About Her Family

Ok, i think i need to explain the titile a little bit. Jughead isnt too fond of being around women, right? Except Betty. Jughead, i think, is at his most comfortable around Betty. So, something about her family, from Jugheads pointof view, would be talking about Betty. So, yeah............ I think thats all i gotta explain. I snuck into their house, being careful to stick to the shadows. It being day time, that was kind of hard. I did it though. Then i saw her. Betty. I pounced on her and pinned her to the ground. She looked at me, shock for a second, then smiled. "Law!" "Cousin Betty! Guess what?!?" "You're getting off me now?" "Oh, right." I got up and helped her up. "Im moving to Riverdale for the summer!"
Thats awesome! Why?" I sat on the couch and she sat beside me. "I decided to visit, and i even got a job at the local bakery!" "Thats wonderful."
She looked towards the door. "Wheres everyone else? Uncle Bernie, Aunt Flo and Cousin Timothy." "They'll be here soon. Theres just some fashion show type thing that they had to take Timmy to." "Oh, i see. Hes in his fashonista phase now?" She raised an eyebrow. I nodded. "Yeah, has been for about a week. He even forces me to be his model once in a while." "Wow." "Yeah, and the scary thing is..... he's really good." "Really?" I nodded. "I mean, its no surprise, we are part of the Cooper clan. Home Economic type stuff runs through our veins."
After a while of talking, catching up with each other, i heard a ding in the kitchen. I perked up. "Ooh, what are you making?" She laughed. "Im baking some cookies. The gang is coming over for a last minute study session. You may be homeschooled, but some of us still have school for a few more days." "Really?" The first thing i thought was Oh... people? She nodded. "Well, can i help with the baking then?" "Sure." We walked to the kitchen and i said hi to my uncle and aunt.
She took out a couple of baking pans with cookies on them. "Woah! Why so many, cuz?" "One word, Law; Jughead." I looked at her. "Jug.......head..." "Yeah, one of my friends. Real name is Forsythe P. Jones, but we just call him Jughead." I nodded. "He like eating?" She laughed. "You dont know the half of it!" I looked at the cookies. "That much usually lasts me, mom, dad and Timmy a few days." "Yeah, only lasts Jughead about a few minutes." Without another question we got to baking. After a few more batches, the doorbell rang. "So, uh, how many people are coming over again?"
"Just a few of my friends. Archie, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, you know. The usual." I nodded. "Uh huh..." "Well, i'll go let them in. Can you bring the rest of the treats in the living room?" I nodded and she left. ..........People? I pulled my hair out of a ponytail and started bringing the cookies out. They were all talking. A redhead sitting in between Betty and a brunette. A dark-haired boy sat by himself on the recliner, looking all proud of himself. Then there was another dark-haired boy lying across the love seat. He had a ridiculous hat on, but it looked good on him.
"Whos this, Betty?" The boy looking proud of himself said. "Oh, this is my cousin, Law." "Law? Thats a strange name." "Oh, that isnt her actual name. Her real name is Lindi-Ann Wynn. Law is her innitials." "Law, this is Veronica, Archie, Jughead and Reggie." she gestured to each of them, i nodded and was about to go into the kitchen when betty started talking again. "Law is a prodigy cook. Even better than me. She helped with the cookies, and she has a job at the local bakery." Then the one called Jughead sprag up. "Bakery!" They kept talking and i backed away to do some more baking.
After a few cakes and another batch of cookies, i was in the middle of making brownies when the boy, Jughead walked in. His eyes almost bulged out of his head. "This.... is amazing! Can i have some?" I nodded. "Not like its being used..." He started devouring it and between bites he looked up at me. "This....... is.......del.....icious! Where did you learn............. to cook........ like...... this?" I shrugged. "It kinda just comes naturally to me. I've finished culinary college, so my parents are homeschooling me." We talked for a while until he eventually was taken back to study.
I eventually baked enough goodies to fill the kitchen. I heard Betty say good bye to everyone and she came into the kitchen as i was cleaning up. She froze for a second and walked over to me. "Where are we gonna put all of this?" "Well...... that Jughead character seems to like my baking. We could give it to him." "Well, he left alread-" Jughead burst into the kitchen from the back door. "Hey, pals, whats new?" "Speak of the devil..." I smiled. "Hi, Jughead. We were just talking about all this food and what we were going to do with it. We dont have enough room to keep it here. Would you like some?"
"Would i?!?!??!?" He dived in and Betty and i laughed. While he was eating, bits and pieces flew out and Betty and i held up our hands as shields. "Well," She stared at me in a knowing way. "You and Jughead seem to be getting along. You said an actual sentence to him!" "Well, we have the same interest." "Not really." "Well, food. Yes, we technically do. But we are just friends. Im only here for the summer, besides, from what i've heard from your 'studying', he isnt too keen on girls."
"Not most girls, anyways." "What are you saying?" "Just that, for once, i think ol' Juggy might actually like a girl."
