Walking in my shoes

Everyone says that immortals aren’t real well they don’t know their world. I am a shape-shifter and I turn into a black panther. The humans don’t know about the immortals because it’s against the night world law. It is hard to keep my secret because of one human. He has dark blue eyes and is about two feet taller than me. He gets made fun of a lot because he is different. His name is Jake I don’t know his last name sadly.
There is this group that wants me to join they are circle daybreak. They are a group of night world inhabitants and humans. I want to join but my mom and dad won’t let me. They say that circle daybreak is bad and should be eliminated. I don’t care I ran away two hours ago and now I am in the middle of nowhere but I think that Las Vegas is not far away. I have to make it and maybe I can see my crush again. Soon I will have to eat but what.
Wait I see something I think it is a dark shape. It keeps getting farther away. I call, “Hey, wait.” But the shape keeps moving. I sit down and want to cry. I can feel the itchiness from it but if I cry who knows what would happen. I pull myself into some shade and lay down. I look around and yawn then I slowly fall asleep.
