Chapter 1
The Beginning of A Living Nightmare
It's green, but as quickly as it's there, it's gone...It's dark, cold...."And that's how you kill....."......I'm four years old.....Someone's with me.....talking to me....."....yes, Narcissa......he will be pleased.....".....someone takes a hold of my hand...and....the voices....they start....so cold....
"Tay?! Tay, can you hear me?!" Everything's so blurry, the light's too much..."Tay, just open your eyes..." Slowly, I open my eyes. I shut them quickly, but soon open them wide...
"Harry?" A hear a sigh of relief. "Tay, are you ok?" I felt fine until he mentioned it. I quickly sat up, reaching for my head, but decide against it when I begin to feel sick.....
"Easy there." Someone put their hand on my back, holding me as I leaned forward. When I caught my breath, I felt loads better.
"What happened?"
"Those Dementors won't be around for a bit." I looked up and saw the man from earlier. "Dementors? What ar-"
"If you would excuse me, I must go." He stood up and walked out of the compartment. I looked over to the window and saw that it was dark. "We'll be nearing the school soon, we should get dressed." Hermione got to her feet and handed me my robes. I gladly took them, and with Harry's help, I was able to stand. Ten minutes later, the train began to slow down. As it came to a stop, we were already next to the door. As we got out, we began to talk excitedly about our classes when I heard something that I swear I'd hurt someone.
" 'ello, Potty, do you feel better after tragically fainting?" I felt Harry tense as I grabbed for his arm to hold him back. I turned facing Malfoy, ready to say just about anything. "Better learn the right facts from Crabby and Gargoyle, Draco. It was me who did it, you impulsive brat." I saw I stunned him with my words, so I quickly walked away, my white hair flowing behind.
"Tay, that was, well, bloody brilliant." Ron was saying as he had his arm around Hermione. I smiled at myself, feeling much better. We climbed into the carriages, Ron and Hermione together, and me and Harry sitting together. We started talking about anything, how summer holidays were, what's going to happen, and being excited for visiting Hogsmead.
On our way up the castle steps, we lost sight of Ron and Hermione so we went up together. "Tay, are you sure you're alright? I can go take you to see Madame Profrey..." I looked over at Harry. "Harry, I'm perfectly fine." I grabbed his hand and squeezed it. He stilled looked unconvinced, but I ignored it. Three years of knowing the famous Harry Potter, you'll get used to it.
We walked into the Great Hall, and I felt a wave of relief fall on me. It's good to be home. I sat down at the Gryffindor table, and Harry sat next to me. A few minutes later, Ron and Hermione found their way towards us.
"Man, I hate how the stairs keep moving...hate it..."Ron grumbled.
"Will you give it a rest, Ron? They'll be that way forever, won't change even for your grumbling..." I looked over at the teacher's table. Hagrid just sat down was was talking to Professor Flitwick, and Professor Snape was staying far away from the new teacher....Why's that? Snape wouldn't know him....would he?
The Sorting didn't take too long, but it was over quickly. Dumbledor gave a quick speech about to not to go in the Forbidden Forest and to be careful about the Dementors. Guess that means no walk around the grounds...With that said, dinner appeared and everyone dug in. Pumpkin Juice, chicken, all the delights of food was there, and Ron was digging in it like a pig.
I was getting close to being full when dessert came around, but I didn't eat it because I wasn't there to try it. I excused myself and walked out of the Great Hall. It's best to walk around before everyone else comes around. I started walking towards the grounds until I heard someone running towards me. I looked back and I hated myself right then. Draco Malfoy...
"Tay, wait, please, I didn't know about what happened on the train."
"Yeah you seemed to alright."
"Come on, please just let me straighten it out."
"Why? Why should I?"
"Because I told you my secret, ok?" I stopped. "And I just want to get to know you, better."
"Draco, why should I trust you?" I looked him in the eye.
"Because....I'm crazy for you..." I flinched.
"Alright..." Malfoy looked up towards the grounds.
"Were you going for a stroll?" I chuckled a bit.
"Uh, yeah, I was thinking about it...Why don't we start there?"
"Ok, best we do it tomarrow, I don't want people thinking I kidnapped you." I laughed and we walked back together. I was still uncomfortable with being around him, so I kept a fair distance between us, about two feet. When we entered together, the Gryffindor table was getting up to go.
"So, we'll talk more tomarrow?" Malfoy looked over at me. I nodded and walked away from him. I looked back a bit and saw he stayed where I left him, staring after me, but started walking back to his table. I looked forward and saw three angry faces.
"Where were you?" Harry from me to Malfoy.
"Just walking, nothing wrong with that, or is it against my will?"
"Well why'd you come in with him?" Harry stared at me hard.
"What are you my father? I'm able to do what I want, Harry, and you should be an actual friend and respect that." I noticed that my voice was getting louder because the teachers were looking over at us.
"And an actual friend would stop you from being stupid." I couldn't hold it any longer. SMACK- Harry quickly reached for the red spot on his face. I could hear it echo in the hall, deadly silence followed after it.
"I could be almost anything, Harry Potter, almost anything but stupid. It would be good of you to actually remember how you not only lost your family, but your best friend." I turned around and ran out of the Great Hall, leaving everyone there stunned....
