A Whole World Away...
I have always been open to a family.
I have always been open for animals.
I have always been open for children.
I have always wanted thrill and adventure in my life.
Chapter 1
Chapter 1.
I have always been open to a family.
I have always been open for animals.
I have always been open for children.
I have always wanted thrill and adventure in my life.
This is what I have been saying all my life and I started to think that 'all my life' was more like 'always in my dreams'.
Until he came.
First, just a glimpse.
Then, a stare.
Then, a chat.
Always so secretive, never letting anything get through...
always so... ...so protective as if he couldn’t tell me.
Maybe he didn’t trust me. Maybe he didn’t mean to. Maybe he didn’t want to. Maybe he wasn’t allowed to. Maybe he was forced not to.
Let me explain....
It was a sunny day. The work was closed due to pluming problems and school was closed because of a certain well... accident...
I was sitting at home typing a story like I normally do, you see I want to be a writer when Im older but yeah anyways, and then I looked out of the window beside me. We have a forest outside our backyard and I can often see and sometimes even hear the wildlife and the sounds of nature... I love the forest and all that dwell within it.
There was this figure the looking at me, a boy.
Oh my gosh! A boy! And he was looking right at me I thought to myself as I saw him quickly turn away. He started to run as if he was being attacked. I found this odd. At dinner time, everything was back to normal, my dad with his can of Strongbows. My mum with her vegan-only policy having an argument with my grandmother and grandfather. My little brother mashing his, now dead, porridge oats and his baby rice balls shaped as the Tellytubies. And me, writing and drawing more than I was eating. Truth is told I hadn’t eaten in days. I couldn’t. I had found this weird plump thing where my flat stomach used to be and even before I found the bulge; it had been hurting to eat solids for a while now.
The next day, school was shut again. Work had a world of animals to look after but yet still they said they thought I should be revising for my tests anyways. I love my job. Everybody there is so kind. So helpful. So brilliant. So, so, so insanely different to the world and yet similar to everyone and everything. Even I felt I might belong when I was there.
The boy came again. This time he was stopping hunters shooting the animals. Then he ran up to my house this time strait after he had stopped the hunters. He came closer this time. He has always been coming closer. I noticed his clothing this time. He wore an old damaged hoodie and VERY baggy jeans and sneakers that didn’t seem to fit either. He wore his hood up, so I could not see his face. But what he didn’t know was that I could see his face very clearly. His deep dark golden brown hair coming over his shoulders and parts of it hanging over the fronts of his hoodie. He stared up at me. I blinked surprised that he could notice me.
