"Crap! It's Josh!" I said as I ducked behind Matt, "

"Don't worry about it. We can just start our plan now."

"Right now?"

"Yes. Just pretend you like me."

"Okay...I really hope this works Matt."

I quit hiding and sat up by Matt. It seemed that Josh didn't notice me, which was good...he looked over once and didn't wave or anything, so I guess I was good to go.
"You're a terrible actress you know."

"Oh shut up Matt."

"No seriously, you need to at least pretend you like me, you're sitting three feet away from me. "

"Sorry Mr. Director, what do you suggest I do?"

"Hm...we'll just hang out, but if he asks it's a date."

"You really think that will work?"

"If you learn to act, then yes."

"Fine, come on, lets have fun on this 'date' then."

We got out of our seats and went to go play some of the kiddie games, and then our pizza came and we sat down and ate that, then went back to playing. It must have been hours later because the party was now leaving, Josh along with them. I felt accomplished...that is until he came up to me.

"What are you doing here?"

"Nothing of your concern, just on a date."

"A date already?"

"Yup."

"With who?"

"Oh, no one..."

"Ariel come on, the least you can do is tell me."

"Hm...fine, it's Matt."

"You mean your gay best friend Matt, are you kidding me?"

"He's not gay, and nope, we're really on a date." Then Matt came over and noticed Josh was there so he put his arm around me.

"Hey Matt McFlamerpants, Ariel here says you two are on a date."

"Well that because we are."

"Oh really? Prove it."

"Fine. How?"

"Kiss her." I looked over at Matt kinda scared, not knowing what he would do..well not really scared but anxious, but before I knew it he had kissed me.
