The Key

Screaming. That was all I could hear. The schrill screech of a woman. What was going on? I can't move or talk or open my eyes. The only thing I can do is listen. Though at the moment, I didn't really want the privilege of hearing.

I finally could make out what the woman was saying. "IVY! IIIIIIIVY! WAKE UP! WE HAVE TO GO! LEAVE ME THE HE** ALONE YOU FREAK!" It was my sister Melanie. Why was she screaming? Why couldn't i move? This was starting to get creepy.

I heard a bunch of stuff hit the floor. Melanie screamed,"GET AWAY FROM US!" Then she screamed in such a horrible way it sounded like she was getting torn to peices. The sound snapped me out of my useless state. After what I just saw I swear I was going to need pshycological help.

Melanie's legs were torn off. Literally torn. Blood was spurting everywhere. Melanie was screaming in agony. "IVY! Oh Ivy! IVY BEHIND YOU!" she screamed at me.

There was no time to turn around. I slipped to the side. A creature of some sort ran headfirst into the wall. It had been carrying a knife. Luckily, it stabbed itself when it hit the wall. Silver goo went flying everywhere. I ducked and shielded Melanie with my body. Goo splattered all over my arms and back while blood spurtted all over my legs and stomach.

Melanie was crying histerically. Her body shaking violently. I looked around the room for more danger while I tried to calm her down. Thankfully, there was no more danger. Atleast not at that moment. I turned back to Melanie. "What the he** is going on?"

Choking, she responded, "They sprayed.... you....while you....asleep. I fought.... before.... got....me. They took.... away. I followed. I got.... found you.... there." she said pointing to the table. "I love.... you." She said. I was confused. Why was she saying that?

Melanie coughed up a boatload of blood. She screamed once more and twitched. I watched as her eyes roll back into her head.

Tears rolled down my face as i slid down the wall next to her. My head fell on to her shoulder.

Where was Heath? What am I going to do about Melanie? What the he** was going on?, were my last thoughts when I blacked out.
