♥Love Story♥ (A Jezebel and Jacob Sequel)

I was laying in my bed, still half asleep, with Jake’s arms wrapped snugly around me. I stayed where I was and thought back to the day when Jake had proposed to me….
“Jezebel, I promise to love you forever, will you marry me?” Jake had asked me two and a half weeks ago. It had taken me a minute to answer him but I finally choked it out.
“Yes,” I had said, starting to cry. He stood up and wrapped his arms tightly around me. I hugged him back, still crying.
“Thank you,” He said in my ear. He pulled back, and fished around in his pocket for a second, and then brought his hand out with a beautiful ring in his palm. He took my hand and slid the ring into place on my third finger.
I had cried a lot that day. I couldn’t contain it, I was just so happy! Jake and I had stayed inside for most of the day; I had no compelling need to go outside, when I was content inside….
I came back to the present when Jake’s arms tightened around me.
“Good morning,” He said as he kissed me softly for a minute.
“Morning,” I said as ducked my head and rested it against his chest.
“So, are we gonna go tell your dad tonight?” Jake asked me. We originally were going to go the weekend after he had proposed, but my dad had gotten sick, and then last weekend my dad had something come up, so we were going tonight.
“Yes, we are. I just hope he doesn’t get mad at me.” I said, so quietly that I wasn’t sure how he heard me.
“He won’t, trust me.” He said it with such confidence that I had to look at his face. He was smiling, as if he was absolutely positive that my dad would have no objection to me getting married, at 19. My birthday was tomorrow, and my dad thought that this get-together was to celebrate my birthday, he was oblivious to the fact that he was in for a huge surprise tonight!
“How can you be so sure?” I asked, suspiciously. His grin widened impossibly.
“Just trust me,” He told me as he pressed his lips to mine again quickly. I sighed, and stood up.
“Where you going?” He asked me as he got up too.
“I’m gonna go get dressed, I wanna go see Jedlin.” I told him. Jedlin had finally gotten back from her winter vacation with her parents, and I wanted to go hang out with her for a while today.
“Ok,” He gave me a quick hug before he left the room to leave me alone to shower and get dressed. I put on some cute jean shorts – as always – when I was done showering. I found a cute shirt to wear, a tank top that was a neonic blue and bright green tie-die. I went to my bathroom and fixed my hair up, I put the top half of it up in a pony tail, and left the rest down, since Jake always kicked up a fuss when I put it all the way up. I straightened my bangs and put a shiny metal barrette in on the side of my head. I looked over myself in the mirror before returning to my closet, putting my converse on, and heading downstairs to leave. I grabbed my phone and keys off the counter and went to grab an apple for breakfast. Just as I was reaching across the counter for the apple Jake picked me up in his arms, scaring me, I sighed though.
“When am I going to stop getting scared when you sneak up on me?” I asked rhetorically. He smiled.
“I hope you don’t ever get over it, it’s funny.” He told me, smiling wider.
“Yeah, ha ha,” I said sourly as he bent his head down to kiss me. I kissed him back for a minute before I pulled back and jumped out of his arms, grabbed my apple, phone and keys and then headed for the door again.
“See you later,” He called.
“Ok, bye,” I said smiling, and shutting the door behind me.
