I actually don't try to impress guys.
evidently it works for me to just be myself:
I hang out, I have confidence, and I happen to be involved in things that guys are into, and most girls aren't (i'm into building guitars, so I've made friends with guys in my classes for it.) my boyfriend says my looks are a plus.

If you're looking to get someone to notice you, you can't be shy.
Don't force anything that's not you, but be bold.
