Chapter 1

Welcome home

by: Leo_Fire
I'm looking out the window, watching people run as the rain starts hitting the pavement. I've been in this place for 6 months and I've never once felt the rain in between these passed months. I was thinking about what the rain would feel like on my face. My thoughts were interrupted by a loud knock followed by a very angry face. My aunt. "Get your crap, you're going home." she says with a harsh tone of voice. I look out the window one last time and get of the bed. I quickly pack my little amount of clothes, the one they gave me. My aunt had already left to the car. I walk out and stop letting the rain hit my face. "Hurry up!!" yells my aunt. I walk to the car and she drives off like a maniac. When we reach the house she throws me out the car and drives off again. I walk to the door and knock. A male opens the door. I almost didn't recognize him but his face quickly came back into my mind. He stopped what he was about to say and pulled me into a hug. Junior my brother. Never in my life had he hugged me until today and it felt weird. I hadn't seen him since the day it happened. "How've you been?" I shrug my shoulders. I heard all the noise coming from inside. Junior moved to the side and took my bag. Two little girls were running around in diapers. The twins, Linda and Bella. As if they recognized me they ran to me. Linda grabbing on to my leg and Bella reaching her arms up so I could pick her up. Instead Junior picked her up and Linda ran to the kitchen. I went up to my old room and nothing changed. On top of my nightstand was a blade with dried up blood on it. My bathroom with the same cracked mirror. Everything the same. Nothing changed. "Jen didn't want to step in here. Said it reminded her of mom." junior says leaning against the door frame. I closed the door in his face. I heard his sigh and then footsteps walking away.  I leave the bathroom and start cleaning up. I don't want to be here. Never did. And I wish Jen never came to pick me up from the hospital. It only reminds me that I don't belong here.
