Conflicting Feelings

My flipfops are slapping down on the concrete sidewalk noisily, I'm panting for clean, healthy air for my soar, dry throat, and my tears streaming down my cheeks rapidly..... That was yesterday, and today is a new day, hopefully better... My mom and I are packing our stuff to go to a new, better future, I think. "C'mon, honey, I want to show you your new school!" my mom, Sandra, cheerfully said. "Yeah, yeah, I'm coming." I replied bitterly, obviously not over the sudden move from my small little town to a bustling, busy city. I pulled my coat closer to my body, trying to keep warm. I trudged through the hard-packed snow and opened the passenger door, quickly getting in. "Oh my goodness! It's 6 degrees out here!" mom said, "I didn't know i could get so cold out here in the city!" I turned up the heat and put my seatbelt on. "Well, what do you expect? It to be 97 degrees during the winter? We're not in Florida anymore, mom." I said, looking through the thick layer of ice on my window. "Okay, here we go!!" mom said, pulling out of the driveway and onto the road. About 5 minutes later, she slowed to a stop infront of a building. I didn't look at it until she told me that that was the school. What I saw when I looked up was amazing. It was a 6 story building with clear, huge windows sprawled everywhere, and it reminded me of when I was only 8 years old. But now I'm 16 and the world has grown cruel and chaotic. The onl thing this school was missing was people. And I meant a WHOLE lot of people for the size of that building. "She's a beauty, isn't she?" mom gleamed proudly, "I just had to get you into this school!" Flattered, I said, "Wow, mom, you didn't have to go through all that trouble!" "No, you're my daughter, and I want the best of the best for you, so I got you the best highschool in the state!!" she announced loudly, as if speaking to the whole world. "Uhm... Thanks mom." I said, trying to contain my laughter. "Okay, you start tomorrow, so today, I expect you to study until...... 6 PM!!!" she said. I looked at her like she was crazy. She knew how short my attention span was!!! I can't study for FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS!!!





Well, sorry, guys, I didn't write the intro down so I just had to randomly pull things out, oh, yeah, sorry that it's so short too, but If i get 5 comments or more, I'll try to make it extra longer!!! Hope you enjoyed!!!!
