FORGET ME NOT YESTERDAY

my lips remain sealed
covered in dusty words i will never use again
words that tasted so sweet for the moment
with an aftertaste that makes me cringe
the words ''i love you" are far past the back burner
along with my heart (which i must of lost a while ago)
leaving me in a state of confusion
wondering how you could of forgoten...
because i sure know i didn't
and yes, maybe the time wasn't right
