Life is Full of Surprises( Harry Potter love story) Part 28

You woke feel sharp pains throughout your whole body. You sat you slowly, getting lightheaded and instantly felt pain everywhere. "Owww!" you moaned. You heard a door shut and the next thing you knew Harry and Hermione vanished out of thin air. You rubbed your eyes, thinking you were just seeing things but you weren't. You gave Ron, who was across the room from you, a confused look. He blushed and you looked down to notice that someone had taken your shirt off and your tank top was folded up exposing the large cut on your side about 6 inches long. It looked terrible! You blushed and pulled the sheets around yourself, but before you could ask what happened Harry and Hermione came running back into the hospital wing. " What? You were just right there and then..." Ron trailed off looking just as confused as you were. " Will someone please tell me what's going on!" you pleaded your head aching along with the rest of your body. " Later, right now isn't the time." Harry said quickly getting into his bed as did Hermione. Seconds later Madame Pomfrey walked out of her office. " Good can I take care of my patients now?" she asked sounding annoyed. She walked over to Harry and Hermione handing them chocolate and then to you also giving you some. You reluctantly ate your chocolate and did it quietly. After your 4th piece of chocolate you asked " What time is it?" and Madame Pomfrey responded with " A little after midnight now eat your chocolate." You tried to finish your chocolate when you heard screaming and the doors of the hospital wing burst open. " YOU CAN'T APPERATE OR DISAPPERATE INSIDE OF THE CASTLE! POTTER MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS!" Snape screamed. " How could he possible have anything to do with this Snape, he's been here all along, right?" asked the Minister of Magic. " Yes of course, I would have heard them if they left." She said assuring him. " See Severus, unless you are suggesting that they can be in two places at once I see no point in troubling them further." Said Dumbledore calmly. Snape stormed out of the room and the others followed. Madame Pomfrey locked the door again and went back to her office. " Will someone explain what's going on now?" you asked.

Harry sat up and started to explain everything. He told you how Sirius didn't really kill Pettigrew and that Perrigrew was actually Scabbers. How he actually betrayed his parents ( well it was your dad too)not Sirius. You sat there just listening to everything he had to say. " So you guys saved Sirius I'm guessing?" you asked, but already knew the answer. " Yeah." Hermione said now. " How?" you asked. Hermione then explained how she has been getting to all her classes all year, and how they used the time turner to go back and save Buckbeak and Sirius. You felt relieved and laid back down. You pulled the sheets from your body and started to examine the cut again, you sighed and pulled the sheet over you again. " Looks like I won't be going to swimming anytime soon." you said. " Don't worry it will probably be gone before we go home." Harry said trying to comfort you. You all laid back down went to sleep.

You were awoken a couple hours to a pain in your shoulder. You turned your head to see a hand tracing the cut on your shoulder form the Whomping Willow. You looked up to see the face who the hand belonged too. It was Draco. " What are you doing here?!" you whispered. " I heard what happened and wanted to make sure you were okay." He said his hand now moving to your face. You had forgotten about that cut and just hoped it wasn't as terrible as the others. " Uh.. Draco that's sweet, but you should really go before you get in trouble." you said and with that he leaned down kissing your forehead and left. Your skin felt hot where he had touched it. Why did he make you feel this way? He could be such a jerk one minute and so sweet the next! You didn't get it. You quickly looked around to make sure everyone was still asleep and with that thought drifting through your head you fell asleep.

You were woken again hours later by the sound of Harry's voice. You sat up feeling very stiff and sore. " Good morning?" you said but it came out more like a question. " More like good afternoon." Hermione said with a smile. " Do you know when we can get out of here?" You asked, and as if on cue Madame Pomfrey came out of her office checked to make sure everyone was okay and then sent you off. You put your ripped and blood stained shirt back on and sighed. " What's wrong?" Ron asked. " Oh it's nothing this was just my favorite shirt..." you said and then laughed. You walked down the deserted hall and said goodbye to Harry, Ron, and Hermione as they went to go sit by the lake. You walked back to the common room by yourself. As you walked into the common room you were attacked by Ginny who looked like she was about to cry. She hugged you so tight you couldn't breath, not to mention the amount of pain you could feel throughout your sore body. " Ginny... that..... hurts..." you barely managed to say. " Oh yeah sorry." She said letting go. " I was just so worried about you! You hadn't come back to the common room last night and neither did Harry, Ron, or Hermione. And then when I heard that you were all in the hospital wing and then when I tried to see you they wouldn't let me..." she trailed off out of breath. " Ginny it's fine. Don't worry we are all fine." you said reassuring her. She looked down at your ripped and blood stained shirt and said " Are you sure about that? And could you please tell me what happened?" " Yeah I'm fine I'm just a little sore. I want to get cleaned up and changed and I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell you... but we can go find Harry, Ron and Hermione later and I bet they will tell, plus they could probably tell you what happened better than I could.

You walked back down to the common room with a fresh coat of makeup on trying to cover up the scratch on your face and shorts and a long sleeved shirt. You and Ginny walked to grounds to go find Hermione and Ron sitting by themselves. " Where's Harry?" you asked. " He went to go see Lupin." said Ron. " He resigned this morning, Snape told all the Slytherins that he was a werewolf" Hermione said with anger in her voice. " I'll be back." you said running off to Lupin's office. You had so much to ask him. You quickly stopped at common room going to your dorm grabbing the letter you had received on your birthday and then ran to Lupin's office. When you go to his office you saw Harry and Dumbledore talking. " Where's Professor Lupin?" you asked out of breath. " I'm sorry but I'm afraid you just missed him, he is heading for his carriage now." Said Dumbledore and with that you ran out of the office, out to the grounds passing Hermione, Ron and Ginny again while they gave you odd looks and towards the gates. " Professor Lupin... Professor wait.." you called after him. He turned around and stopped. " Yes? _ What's going on?" he asked. " I wanted to ask you about my.... uhh.. dad...." You said out of breath. " I see." he said. You handed him the letter. After he read it you asked " Is it really true? You were one of his best friends right? You would know wouldn't you? It's been bothering me all year, I didn't know what too do. I have always looked like Harry but we were cousins so I just never really thought too much into it. But now this letter and it's flipped everything around and I just don't know what to think. And now everyone knows about this and I'm not even sure if it's true and..." He cut you off. "It's true. Your father wrote you this letter the day you were born and he found out your mother wasn't going to let him see you. They, Lily and James, were so excited about you. Especially Lily, she was a excited to have a little girl around the house. Even Harry as a baby was excited about his baby sister. You know... you're father a couple nights before he died asked me if I wanted to be your godfather. Pettigrew was a little upset James didn't choose him( he laughed a little at that) but of course I said yes. Even though I am leaving the school I want you to know you can come to me for anything, and I really hope to you soon." He said handing you back the letter and starting to get into the carriage. " Oh and _ I'm sorry that you had to see me like that tonight." " Wait Professor.. I mean uhh..... did you send this letter to me? I mean my dad is dead he couldn't have sent this to me?" I asked. " No, I didn't send this but I'm pretty sure I know who did." He said with a smile and with that he left. " But wait! Who sent it!" you yelled after him but he didn't answer and just smiled. You walked back towards the castle. " What was that all about?" Ginny asked as you sat down by her, Ron, and Hermione. " I need to get some questions answered." You said plainly. " Did you fill her in on everything?" you asked Hermione and Ron. " Yeah basically." Hermione said. You put your head in your hands wanting to cry but stopped yourself. " Are you okay....?" Ginny asked. " If I ever see Pettigrew again, I'm not going to hesitate to kill him." the three of them seemed shocked and confused to here you say that. But you didn't feel like explaining it now.

Even though the end of the year was here, the weather was beautiful, and the whole school was in a cheery mood, you couldn't help but feel a little down. And you weren't the only one Harry wasn't exactly in the best mood every either. Gryffindor had won the house cup, for the 3rd year in a row, so at the end of the year feast the whole Great Hall was decorated in Gryffindor colors.

As the Hogwarts express pulled away from the station you looked out the window thinking about what you were dreading most, going back to the Dursleys. Harry had told you about the offer Sirius had made to let Harry live with him and how the offer was extended to you, which made you feel even more hate towards Pettigrew because if it wasn't for him Sirius wouldn't have to be in hiding right now, or even better if he hadn't betrayed James and Lily you could be going back to a home that actually wanted you right now. Accepted you for who you were and loved you the same..... but no he had to screw everything up. " Hey you should come stay at my house this summer!" Ginny said after the long silence. " I know Mum wouldn't care at all actually she wants to meet you really badly." You smiled " Yeah that would be nice" You said continuing to stare out the window. " I'll be right back" you said leaving the compartment. You weren't exactly sure what you need to do you just need to stretch your legs. As you walked out of your compartment you ran straight into Draco. " Sorry" you said getting up from the floor. " Yeah sorry... so how are you feeling?" He asked. " Better." you said. " Oh well that's good. I have to go but um I'll write you this summer okay?" he asked. " Yeah sounds good." you said with a smile. You walked back into the compartment with a smile on your face. " What's with you?" Ginny asked. " You know I just realized this summer won't be so terrible after all. Ginny laughed and you spent the rest of the compartment talking about what you guys would do together this summer.

The train pulled into the station you grabbed your trunk and walked off the train with Ginny. You found Harry and said good bye to everyone and walked to the Dursleys. " Oh my gosh! What happened to you!" You mother gasped. You realized you still hadn't gained back all the weight you lost and you had a huge cut across your face. You felt a little hope, maybe they really did care about you. " We will have to go pick up some make up to cover up your face and we need to get you eating more. We don't want the neighbors to think things." Your mother said. And with that you silently got into the car, hatred filling your body. You couldn't wait to get away from them this summer.
