*******Is my Best Friend GAY for me?????********

I've known him for over 10 years. He's 14 and im 16. The questions are some of his qualities and the things hes done around me. The catch is we live far away and see eachother ONLY 2-3 times a year! (he moved 3 years ago and we got very close 2 years ago.) Due to his age and these circumstances, I am in a state of major confusion... please please answer the following questions seriously even though im trying to make it entertaining. lol Thank You! :)

    Whenever I see him, he looks at me pretty often, hes very touchy and lingers (stays) around me 85% of the time. He's kissed me on the cheek before when I left and hugs me at least twice.

    In addition to being touchy feely, on car rides he wraps his arm around me and looks up at me. He lightly massaged my back for just a second and stopped. He told me he gives good massages.

    We were walking in new york and he pretended to trip over the snow and purposely kissed my upper back lightly and quickly.

    He once asked ME jokingly near his brother (he's 2 yrs older than him) "are you gay?" I replied "no..." he said "well I'm gay for you!" and he giggled a little.

    Last time I saw him (it was a different time from when he said "gay for me"), I texted him "I love you! I had a great time seeing you." he replied "Ok ily too man no homo..... and thanks."

    He has called me his "best friend before." There were also several other different "strange" things he did like mentioned before. (and he NEVER talks about girls!) he claims to like 85% of what i like

    Here are my doubts..I reach out to him 90% of the time and he barely answers me.When i told him it upset me he did make the effort to reach out every week to 2. but it stopped.

    Around the time he said he was "gay for me" 8 months ago, we both liked to cook and had a cookoff. He played my favorite music which is also his and got a little mad if people stayed in the kitchen.

    I can obviously go on and on, but based on what I said, what do you honestly think about all of this? we only see eachother 2-3 times a year!
