Chapter 1
Time For Crying
Cassie snuggled deeper into her jacket as a few more people stared at her. She was homeless the only family she knows of is her pet dog Elvey, she was an golden brown colour and she was snuggled up to her side to keep warm. Elvey never left Cassie's side and she never knew why, mabye because she loved Cassie she doesn't know. She patted Elvey on the head and she grunted snuggling closer.
A wad of cash was then thrown on her lap, she looked up to meet some jade green eyes of an very handsome boy. Cassie shook her head and tried give the money back, but he also shook his head making his black hair fall in his eyes. He walked away smiling at her before he left. She counted the money, there was well over $200 dollars here, right in her hands. She looked to where the boy was headed but she didn't see him.
She dicided to go shopping since he refused to take the money back. She walked into a bed store and bought an small blanket for her and Elvey. She walked back out after paying, Elvey was waiting there for her wagging her tail with tounge hung out of her mouth. Cassie thought she should get a treat for Elvey for being there for her.
She walked to a meat shop buying an boneless steak, paying for it then giving it to Elvey. She then went to buy a few bags of potato chips and some fruit for herself. Cassie was walking back to her sitting spot but she saw a clothes shop with a really furry jacket for $38 dollars so she went in to buy it. She got her size and payed for it. When she got out her and Elvey walked to there sitting spot and sat down. Cassie put the new coat on and put the old one over Elvey who had layed next to her.
Cassie fell asleep thinking it was the luckiest day of her life, not knowing what was going to happen tomorrow and who gave her the money...

When Cassie awoke she had her head on Elvey who had just stood up and was now barking at someone standing infront of her. She looked up and the person gasped as did she, the person looked just like her but was male. He had the same blonde hair but was short and neat unlike Cassie's messy hair that went to her bottom. He had the same peircing blue eyes as her and face shape.
She stood up and Elvey kept barking but at something else now, Cassie then realized she was surrounded by people with cameras and microphones. Some hand note books some recorders, but Cassie wasn't focasing on that as much as the person in front of her.
"Who are you?" Cassie asked breaking the silence between her and the strange man.
"You don't know who I am?" He replied looking confused as i shook my head. "Well I'm Cohen Summers, who are you?"
"Cassie but I don't know my last name."
"Why?"
"Because my parents abandoned me when I was five," Cassie's lips tightened and her eyes hardened.
"Oh I'm sorry, but why?"
"I don't know but if I see them and recognize them, then I'll ask them for you," Cassie replied.
"Would you like to come back with me to my house?"
"Why, wait your not some raper stalker guy are you?" Cassie said looking down at Elvey then back at him.
He laughed. "No I just think were related since we look strikinly alike."
"Oh, ok then what have I got to loose apart from Elvey."
"Elvey?"
"My dog, she doesn't leave me and I would never leave her," Cassie asked him another question with her eyes.
"She can come along too," He answered her unspoken question.
Just then an black limousine pulled up and someone got out to open the doors. Cohen hoped in with me following.
"Come on Elvey," Cassie called and Elvey jumped in, onto Cassie's lap and she layed down.
"She's adopruble," Cohen said reaching out to pat her but she growled and he pulled back abrutely.
Cassie laughed at this. "To people she trusts."
He gave a short laugh and they fell into silence for the rest of the trip. When they finally stopped the man opened the door on Cohen's side and Elvey ran over him and out the door with Cohen followinh her. Cassie slowley hoped out taking in the view of the huge mansion infront of her. It had a porch with a swing and a garden aroung the outside. There where a few trees around it before leading to a mini forest that got cut off with a fence. The mansion was an white colour and was about three storys high.
She looked at Cohen who was looking at her amused, she realized her mouth was open. She smapped it shut as Elvey came barking up to her tail wagging and looking more happy than she had ever been. It was because there was actual grass here, there was none in the city. Elvey rolled in the grass while Cassie wriggled her toes in it.
Cohen coughed and started towards the door, Cassie followed and Elvey bounced past her up to Cohen who was now opening the door with a key he got from under the mat. When it opened Cassie walked in and gasped. It wasn't what she expected in this century. It was a long hall sort of. There was paintings on the wall of very important looking people and places. The where a few long chairs against the wall with a small table next to it with a vase of flowers on them. A long carpet was leading to the end to a pair of double doors.
Cohen walked infront of her and up to the doors, snapping her out of her trance. Cassie followed with Evley at her heels. He opened the doors into a ballroom looking place. It was wide open with paintings everywhere. Infront of her was a stair case then went up and stopped a little off a painting hanging on the wall, the staircase then went on both sides up more till it hit a balcony that went all the way around the top of the ballroom, but leaving the middle open. There doors all the way around the balcony but then double doors above them.
Cassie looked at Cohen and he looked at her still amused.
"Cohen who is this?" Someone asked.
They turned around and looked up to the double doors. Standing on the balcony was four people. One was an elegant looking woman who looked like Cassie and Cohen apart from the eyes. She was wearing a long blue gown with her hair in a bun on her head. The man standing next to her had Cassie and Cohen's eyes and face shape he was wearing one of them suits that you'd see princes wearing in suits.
The next person was a little girl about five who was wearing a little yellow sun dress and was hugging a doll close to her. She had brunette hair like the man in the suit but had the womans brown eyes. The last person she recognized as the person who gave her the money yesterday.
"Mother.." Cohen trailed off.
Elvey started growling at them finding out where they were. Cassie nelt beside her hand on Elvey's back.
"Shhh Elvey be quiet," Cassie said to her dog.
"What is the meaning of this? Why did you bring a homeless person to our house?" The man's voice trailing down to us.
Cassie pysically flinched at the word 'homeless'. "She looks like me so much father I wanted to see if she was in any relation to me," Cohen replied.
"Well she should get out now," His mother replied.
"But mothe-" Cohen started.
"She's right Elvey and I should go, we shouldn't even be here," Cassie said standing up.
"Cassie-" Cohen started before his mother gasped breaking off his sentence.
Cassie looked up and his father and mother who's eyes were wide open.
"GET OUT NOW!!," His father yelled making everyone flinch. She quickly looked a Cohen and the strange boy from yesterday before hurrying to the doors opening then and running down the hall with Elvey behind her. She burst through the front door, she was down the stairs in seconds and running across the grass to the open gates, as she ran silent tears fell down her face.
Cassie didn't stop until she couldn't see the house no more and then colapsed on the side walk and cryed for what seemed like hours before falling asleep next to Elvey. After awhile she felt like she was being picked up, she slightly opened her eyes and it was the guy who gave her money carrying her. Cassie was to tired to stay awake so she fell asleep again going limp in his arms.
A wad of cash was then thrown on her lap, she looked up to meet some jade green eyes of an very handsome boy.
