Devoting Love (2)

The next day, you didn't want to get up for school. You finally gain the will power to drag yourself out of bed. You do all the things you do in the morning. You get dressed and decide to wear black skinny jeans, a pink "i'm so awesome" tee, Vans Neon fluorescent pink lace up sneakers, and your reversible pink spatter hoodie. You leasurly take you time going downstairs, only to find Kayla sitting at the table eating cereal.
"Good morning, sweety." your mom says while scrambling eggs at the stove.
"Morning, Hey Kayla, I thought I was going to pick you up at your houses?" you ask while taking out your favorite cereal you favorate cereal name.
"Umn yeah, but i decided to go to your house for a change. You know, save you some gas."
"Umm ok, well, you ready to go then?"
"yeah."
Both of you get up, put your bowls into the sink, and head to your car, which looks like this
You get in and drive to school. You head to your locker only to find the boy standing there.
"What do you want?" you ask annoyed.
"Well, I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday." he says looking at you with those beautiful blue eyes. "We got off on the wrong foot, so I came to ask you if we can start over?" he continues. "My name is Jake." he says holding out his hand for you to shake.
"Rachel." you say taking his hand.
"So, are we cool?" he asks still holding your hand.
Noticing that your hand is still in his, you quickly let go while saying," Yeah, we're cool."
"Cool. See you at lunch." he says smilling and walks off.
"WOW!" Kayla says all shocked. "What was that about?"
"I have no idea, but apperently we're cool, i guess." you say walking to greet Kristal and Sarah.
The first few classed flew by really fast. Then it was time for lunch. You walk to your locker to get your wallet out and you find Jake standing there. You came up and he gave you a hug which left you in with a quetion mark on your face.
"Uh what was that for?" you asked still shocked.
"just wanted to give my friend a hug that's all."
"Oh, ok, well thanks." you say still a little shocked.
You finally get your lunch with only twenty minutes to spare. You sit down with Jake sitting next to you, and you scarf your lunch down not even caring how hot it was and you burned your mouth.
You get up from the table and start walking to the trash can when Kimberly gets into your way.
"Yes Kimberly, how can i help you?"
"Oh nothing, I just wanted to say that the boy sitting next you, and staring right at you at this moment, is really hot."
"Umm, thanks?..I think?"
" Your welcome. Just wanted you to know, that's all." she says walking away.
After lunch the second half of school flew by really fast, and the next thing you notice is Jake leaning against your truck.
"Umm, may i help you Jake?"
"Yeah, you can, i was looking for the owner of this really nice truck. Do you think you can help me find her, see if she can go out on a date, lets say tonight, with me. I'll pay and I'll have her home by 10:00?" Do you think that would be no hassle for you?"
" I think that the owner of this truck would love to go out on a date with you. That is only if she could get to her truck, that is?"
"Well, then it's a date. Pick you up at 6:30?"
"Ok then, I will be ready by then."
He walks off with a huge grin on his face and you get in your truck and drive off... really excited about tonight.
