It all started with a dare (a Neville love story)

"I dare you to....kiss Neville!" Cedric said with a smile. You looked around the hufflepuff common room for help but no one came. You drew your attention back to Cedric 
"what i can't! He's my best friend I can't just kiss him!!" you yelled at him and turned bright red. Yes Neville was your best friend but he was also your crush. No one knew you liked Neville and it was gonna stay that way. 
"oh your not JUST gonna kiss him little sis. Your gonna flirt with him, tease him a little then Snog his face off" cedric said with a smirk. 'he's my big brother he's meant to stop boys kissing me!' you yelled in your head and pushed him off the chair 
"and what if I don't?" you said crossing your arms and glaring at him sitting on the floor, propped up on his elbows
"I will tell malfoy you want him so bad" he said with a sweet smile and stood up. You hated truth or dare. Why did you ever agree to play this stupid game?! 
"fine!" you said sternly and stormed towards the door. You stopped and crossed your arms. You looked down and sighed 
"you coming?!" you yelled head still down and cedric rushed to stand up and joined you. He opened the door and you walked to the fat lady "umm...hey. Is Neville in?" you asked a little out of breath 
"oh I'm not sure dear. I did see him go in but I can't remembered if I saw him come out. I'll go and check" she said and walked out of her fame. You looked over and Cedric who smirked at you and nudged you with his elbow. You crossed your arms and tried to slow down your rapid heart beat "he's not here dear. But one of the boys said that he whet down to the lake with a few friends" she smiled and you thanked her. You walked towards the court yard with your head down and Cedric hot on your heels. He tapped you on the shoulder and you slowed down slightly 
"soooooo how you gonna go about this?" he said with a smile and placed his arm across your shoulders. 
"I don't know yet!" you snapped and took in a few deep breaths "sorry. I don't know I'll just see what happens" you said quietly. You reached the lake and Cedric took his arm from you. You saw Neville standing, talking to dean and Seamus who where leaning against a tree. Neville was in a pair of welli boots and brown pants. His white button up t-shirt was rolled up to his elbows and the middle was hidden by a knitted vest. You bit your bottom lip and looked away from Cedric. 'why dose he have to have his sleeves rolled up? I cant resist him when he dose that' you thought and blushed. 
"I better warn the others before you start snogging" Cedric said with a wink and walked over to the tree. You stood still for a moment then soon followed behind
"hey Amy!" neville yelled out and gave you a large wave. You gave him a small wave, ripping your fingers and bitting your bottom lip. He gave you a puzzled look but brushed it off "cool dress" he said pointing to your short yellow and black dress. You smiled and blushed remembering the length of it 
"thanks. Did your grandma send you that vest?" you said and pressed your hand on his chest. He smiled and looked down at your hand
"yer! Sent it this morning" he stretched it out at the bottom with both hands and you took a step forwards. 
"sorry Neville but we Gotta go. Cya at dinner?" dean said standing up and collecting his things. Neville nodded and and dean, Seamus and Cedric left. You smiled at Neville. And he smiled back he took your hand from his chest and dropped it back to your side. 
"I'm looking for hillman. It's a type of plant that let's you speak to fish! It's so cool-you want to help?" he asked and smiled broadly. You took a few steps closer and licked your lips quickly 
"no thanks. I had a different idea for what we should do today" you said tilting your head to the side as you spoke 
"ok cool. What you have in mind?" he asked and whet to pull down his sleeves. You place your hand over his and stopped him he looked up at you and you squeezed his hand. You bit your bottom lip and took your hand from his arm and held it by his side. He looked at you in shock but a hint of happiness leaked through. Took his other hand and took yet another step forwards. He gulped and looked anywhere but your eyes "umm Amy. What are you doing?" he said and his breathing quicken. You took another step forwards so that your chest was almost pressed to his 
"wait and see" you whispered and squeezed his hands. You leaned in close so that your noses where almost touching 
"why are you acting all-" you cut him off with a tender kiss on the cheek "flirty" he finished and you grinned. You kissed his cheek again and he squeaked. You smiled and moved your lips down to his jaw line. You slowly moved towards his mouth and pressed your nose to his. You saw him close his  eyes and you did the same. You both began to slowly move in till your lips where inches from each other. You turned your head and he kissed your cheek. You shivered and sighed deeply 
"I can't do it. Cedric! I can't do it!" you yelled and he popped up from behind a bush, quickly followed by Seamus and dean 
"what?" Neville said as you let go of his hands and stepped away from him.
"ha I knew it! You lose!" Cedric yelled and you touched your cheek with the tips of your fingers
"yer I lose" you said quietly and smiled. 
"lose what?" Neville said and looked at you confused 
"oh right sorry. Cedric dared me to kiss you" you said looking down and rubbing the back of your neck with your hand 
"oh so you don't..." he trailed off and looked as if he was gonna cry 
"don't what Neville?" you asked taking a few steps towards him and placing a hand on his shoulder "like you? Is that it. I like you Neville...allot more than you think. We're friends. Bff's for life" you said with a smile and he smiled back. You saw that his eyes where watery and pulled out a tissue from your bra and wiped his eyes. 
"yer....friends.....forever" he said and you tucked the tissue back in to your chest. You gave him a hug and he spun you around. 
"whoa watch it!" Seamus yelled and Neville put you down
"s-sorry" Neville said and you broke out laughing 
"well I'm off to find malfoy" Cedric said and walked off. You grabbed his arm and pulled him back 
"please no please" you said and he smirked at you 
"it was the deal. You didn't kiss Neville so now you must suffer The forfeit" he pulled his arm away and you breathed deeply. 
"what's the forfeit?" Neville asked desperately trying to look in your eyes 
"he tells malfoy that desperately want him" you said and looked at Neville 
"no. Do you have to Cedric? Can't you let this one go?" dean said and stood beside you
"I-I'm sorry but she agreed to it when we started the game. No backing out of forfeits" Cedric said and walked off. You buried your face into your hands and Neville patted your back
"I'm fine ok" you said and walked off towards the castle. You held your arms in close to your chest and walked with your head down. You carefully walked back to your common room and sat down near the fire 
"done!" Cedric sung and sat next to you. You kicked him off and he pouted at you "don't be like that little sis" he said and stood up 
"you don't have charms with him tomorrow!" you yelled and walked to your dorm. You laid down on your bed and fell asleep dreading the next day.
