love and hate part twelve (by lily! dark night love story gone horribly wrong!)

The sun peeped through the window and into Anna’s eyes bringing her out of her terrible nightmare she always had. But this time she remembered some of it, bells, Joker, bang and a scream.

She looked over the bed expecting to see Bruce but instead saw the Riddler laying on his stomach naked. Her eyes grew wide at what she did with him, and then narrowed when she thought of what Bruce had done. She quietly slipped out the bed and pulled on her clothes. She picked up her heels and snuck out of the room and walked down stairs to find Harvey Dent or two-face Harvey standing in the hallway.

“Anna Kyles? Well the Riddler has taste.” He walked behind her and lightly touched her shoulders and whispered into her left ear, “Sweet and adorable.” Then he whispered into her other ear, “Yet feisty and wild” he moved around to face her cold stare.
“Tell the Riddler, I had to go.” And with that she pushed past him and threw open the front door. She walked over to her car and jumped in quickly before Edward had a chance to stop her. Anna drove off thinking Why? a tear trailed down her cheek things where so simple before I meet Bruce... she pulled up to the gates of Wayne manor and flew out of the car and ran into the house ready to talk it all out.
“Bruce! Bruce!” she called out desperately, she ran up to her room and found two notes on her pillow, she picked up one and recognised it as Selina's writing.

Dear Anna,
I'm so sorry! I didn’t mean to kiss him! If I had known, I wouldn’t have! And please don’t get mad at Bruce, I kissed him, not the other way around. Don’t tell Bruce, but I'm going to kill my boss. I know what you would say, ‘Don’t!’ but I have to! Please forgive me!

Anna quickly picked up the next piece of paper and read the very short letter.

Anna,
I'm sorry! I don’t want to every betray you; I hope you can forgive me. I'm going after the penguin man, he said he going to kill every first born male in the city.
Love Bruce
Anna wiped the tears from her eyes and walked down stairs and into the lounge room in a slight trance. She walked up to the Christmas tree, memories of her and Bruce decorating it just a week ago. She was on the ladder putting up an angel when Bruce grabbed her legs and pulled her down softly, and held her in his arms.
Another tear slipped down her cheek and she laid underneath the tree looking at the lights, waiting.

Bruce walked into the manor about midnight still dressed up as Batman only his mask had been torn around the neck. He saw Anna fast asleep under the Christmas tree with the note he had written in her hand. Her cheeks were slightly rosy and the different colour lights reflected off her brown hair, making her look even more beautiful than ever. He smiled and slipped under the tree and lied next to her and fell asleep next to her.
