"u know, u really scared me, attacking that troll like that. in that instant, i felt sur u were going 2 die. i should hav bn worried about hermoine, or me, but all i could think was, 'oh no-please, please not amanda.' and in the hospital wing, u looked so pale, but ur face was peaceful. paradoxically, that made me worry mor. i cant imagin what would hav happened if u had DIED" he choked on the word "and i never had the chance to..." he trailed off, seeming hesitant, almost shy as he drops his eyes.
"to what?" u prod gently.
he spoke just above a whisper."to tell u how i feel. to tell u what an amazing girl u are. from the first time u spoke, i could tell u were amazing. and i never thought that someone as good as that would ever be intrested in somebody like me. yet ur clear blue eyes see through evrything. i just...couldn't hide it anymor." he takes a deep breath, and continues, "i really like u. i know there r other boys out there u probly like better, but if u could return even a portion of what i feel 4 u..." he looks at u intently, but ur unable 2 speak 4 a minute.
he begins 2 look worried, but finally, u throw ur arms around him, breaking thru the word dam and gasping, "yes! oh yes, i like u so much...but i couldnt tell u. ur...FAMOUS. and im ordinary in just about every way, but i just had 2 speak 2 u when i first saw you, to know what u were like. and u were kinder than i could hav imagined! bringing me in2 ur close circle of friends...i was honored, but i wanted 2 b so much mor than ur frnd, yet i thought 2 myself, 'there's no way it can happen,' but i just had to try." u shut up, embarrassed yet again by ur babbling. but u feel his arms wrap around u, and when u pull back 2 look @ his face, he leans in and hesitantly pressed his lips lightly 2 urs. ur eyes pop wide 4 a second, then close of their own accord. neither of u pulls away 4 a second. but then u hear someone clomping up the steps, so u quikly break apart, altho ur hands remained intertwined. u exchange a quik glance, but b4 u can say anything, ron burst through the door.
he takes in the scene: u and harry sitting close together on the bed, ur hands intertwined...and an understanding expression crosses his face b4 he composes it. u feel ur face reddening in response. but ron just says, "hermoine said u guys were up here, and i just wanted 2 check on amanda, 2 c if she is ok." he looks @ u then, and says, "im really sorry amanda. i never meant 2 hurt any1, and im just glad u and hermoine weren't harmed. and harry, too, of course." u tell him he should go talk 2 hermoine, and apolagize, giving him a stern look. he agrees and walks back down the stairs, leaving u alone with harry again.
