the night seems to drag on 4ever. when u r finally dismissed from the gr8 hall, harry and his frnds, hermoine and ron, stick very close 2 u. u feel light as air... until u c how all the other girls r going goo-goo eyed over him. but u feel better when the only girl harry looks at is u. u smile, and when u go 2 ur seprate dorms, he hugs u good nite, whispering, "thnx 4 being my frnd!" u hug him back titely, wishing u never had 2 let go. but when u finally do, he just pulls away a bit, and he smiles wistfully @ u. u smile bak, & ur hart is racing a million miles an hour. he leans in...and kisses u on the cheek! and then he calls a quik good night 2 hermoine, and heads 4 the boys dorms.
u walk quickly up the stairs, hermoine rite bhind u. she lays on the bed nxt 2 u and demands, "what was THAT all about?? i saw harry first-hes MINE!" u feel xtrmly jealus,and retort, "oh rlly? then y is he so intrested in ME? and what about ron? did u SEE the way he looks @ u?!"
she looks confused. "ron? what do u mean, ron?" and u tell her shes clearly blind. then u stake ur claim by screaming not just 2 hermoine but to the room in genral, "HARRY POTTER IS MINE!!!" then u pull ur curtains around ur bed, and, without bothering 2 undress, lay down and fume until u fall asleep.

the nxt morning, u find th@ u & harry share all the same classes. he rarely takes his eyes from u. but when he does look away, he looks xtrmly nervous. finally, u ask him what is wrong. he tells u hes never bn good in skool, and he didnt wana repeat of muggle skool, when he got xpelled.
u feel imediatly sympathetic, and tell him u would keep him out of trouble. he smiles, but still seemed nervous.
@ this point, hermoine enters the gr8 hall. she looks around. she makes eye contact with u 4 a second, then looks @ harry, and back. u glare @ her, and she gets the picture. she looks @ ron who is sitting nxt 2 u. he seems 2 feel her eyes on him. he looks up, blushes, and looks quikly away.
finally, hermoine comes 2 sit nxt 2 him. he looks stunned, but she imediatly starts babbling about how they were in the same classes.
he smiles, then leans in2 her and whispers something u dont catch. her eyes widen, dart to harry, and then she giggles.
u look at harry...and he is staring @ u intently, the pancakes on his plate 4gotten. he doesnt say anything, just continues 2 stare @ u. ur hart bgins 2 pound, ur stomach is all fluttery. then, evry1 around u starts moving.
u jump, then look around u in confusion. then u gasp 2 harry, "we better get 2 class-we're gonna b late!" u turn bak 2 him, but the spell is broken.
he agrees, and u practically sprint 2 charms class 2gether. he imediatly heads 4 the farthest seat in the back. u hesitate a second-ur used 2 sitting in the front-and then follow. he already has a piece of parchment out and is doodling on it. u catch quick glimps of what looks like a heart b4 he flips it over, going red.
u want 2 ask him y he was drawing a hart-worried that he may b falling 4 another girl, feeling jealous of whoever it was at the same time-but at that moment the teacher walks in.
ur task is to levitate feathers. u spot ron & hermoine(who effortlessly levitated the feather) arguing 2gether in the front of the class. suddenly hermoine falls silent. neither of them speak for the rest of the class, and u wonder what ron could hav possibly said 2 hermoine.
harry seems 2 hav noticed 2, bcuz he suggested u catch them after class. but hermoine was out the door b4 any1 else was out of their seats. u c she is in tears, and tell harry ur going after hermoine-he should go get ron. so u split up...
