Sky woke up and it was just another day in his world. He didn't expect much, he mostly just expected to go to school, get bullied, come home, do homework, and go to bed then wake up and do it again. But Sky felt something. He had the feeling that this was going to be more then just any other day, he felt like something important was going to happen today, and he was right.
"Sky come down and eat breakfast," said his mother. "Just a minute," Sky yelled down the stairs as he eyed the place where he had been punched in the face yesterday. He let out a sigh fogging the mirror he was looking at him self through. As he walked down the steps his mom glanced at his face and shrieked. "Its nothing," He lied through his teeth,"I fell off my bike." "Who punched you," She yelled, "and why, if you tell me I will march into the school and have that boy suspended." "They hit me because I'm the only freaking kid in this god forsaken world with no mutation," He yelled right back at her," Its nothing to get worked up about, just some bullies." "Well if they give you any trouble at school again, just tell me and I will tell the principle," She stated. "Bye mom," Said sky as he pushed himself out the door in a hurry to leave," I'll see you later." "Bye dear," She called out the door as he hopped on the bus.
"BYE DEAR," The kids on the bus mimicked," BYE DEAR, BYE DEAR, BYE DEAR." Sky groaned as he realized they weren't stopping any time soon. "Leave the poor kid alone," Said the bus driver,"It isn't his fault that he's a freak show." Sky groaned even louder now.
School went the way it normally would and Sky couldn't help having the feeling something bad and good was going to happen. As lunch found its way to him the feeling started getting stronger. It was growing the farther into the day they got. Then as Sky was going to sit outside for lunch, the feeling disappeared, he knew it was going to happen now or never. It ended up being now. Now he groaned for a new reason. The school bully was walking up to him.
Cloud, Sky's one and only friend, stepped in the bully's way. "Stop," Cloud said," This will only lead to violence." Sky sighed, sometimes cloud only knew how to make things worse then they already are. Goliath, the school bully, was named that for his massive size as a baby and thus was very large now as a teenager turning 16. He flicked Cloud out of the way as if he were a toothpick and Cloud landed in a crumpled mess. "Cloud," Sky screamed as Cloud lay passed out. Sky felt something surging through him, it was an energy, a dark energy that made the hair on Goliath neck stand up on end. Sky liked it, he knew this was the feeling he had been getting earlier on today, but that was weak compared to this. This was a full force energy, earlier it was a feeling. This energy made him feel strong and soon enough dark flames were licking his skin. The cafeteria went silent as Goliath went to punch him and Sky dodged with his arm. As Goliath fist touched Sky's bare skin he screamed in agony. It was the worst feeling Goliath had ever felt, so far. Just as Sky realized how powerful this energy was he couldn't stop. He couldn't stop, because he wanted revenge for the mark on his face.
Soon Sky was on the ground Punching the heck out of Goliath face and none of his friends stayed around to help, it must have been the pitiful screams he was creating. Everyone in the cafeteria turned their heads, they all new it was going to be a long and unpleasant rehabilitation for Goliath. As Cloud slowly woke up he wished he would have stayed asleep, because what he saw was a big bloody body. Then he realized that it was Goliath body not Sky's. He slowly drifted back to a state of unconsciousness with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
Permanent suspension is what they called it, but he knew he was expelled. His mother wouldn't look at him, but at least Cloud was passed out as he kicked the crap out of the poor kid. He couldn't help having a flicker of happiness at the thought of Goliath getting his helping though.
Sky sat up all night pondering what that power inside him was and decided that it was time to see if his mom knew. So he asked her, and for a while all she did was stare at him then she answered. "A long time ago before you were born we lived on earth, but their was a dark energy their that threatened to kill us all," She explained,"a newborn child was needed to seal it off in, but the earthlings wanted to harness its power, we knew what it was capable of though so we sealed the energy in the baby and ran away. We landed on the closest liable planet that could sustain life. That planet is this one and that baby was you." "No one was willing to take you in but me," she said hugging him. Sky wished he hadn't asked, but at least that summed it up.
