Personal faith (which is separate from religion. Personal faith is what you believe in your heart. Religion is a very public system of rules that surround belief.) is good for people.
But religion gets abused. People often use their religion, the rules and doctrines it has, to judge and discriminate. The rules often get twisted around, and used to be hateful.

Hufflepuff4evr: 03-01-2011 at 1:10 PMI think religion is important but shouldn't be restricted. What you believe is what you believe, and while different aspects can be encouraged, different opinions on certain aspects shouldn't disclude you from your faith.

A religion is made by humans and what they think that they should beleieve. Some religoins say not to belive that Jesus died for us but he did. Some religions say , "oh belive in this or dont beleive in that." When God want us to believe in him and read and do what the bible says and follow the 10 Commandments. GOD TOLD US TO OBEY HIM AND HIS WORD, NOT HAVE A "RELGION". ;)

(fair statement before I say it: I don't exactly believe in god, though I do have beliefs of my own.)
Just because someone believes in a higher power doesn't mean they beleive the bible stories are facts. It's just a book of stories.
Also, whether you believe it or not, at least be respecful about it (unless other are disrespectul, then you can hit them with facts :) .)
MovieStarscreamRules: 03-01-2011 at 6:33 PMJordana, God allows suffering to happen b/c He gives us all free will. If we all had no other option than to do the right thing, no one would suffer. But God doesn't work like that. He prefers to give us freedom, and that freedom comes with consequences.
