I Think I'm in Love

I see him everyday. Everyday at school. He's the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning. He makes me grin every time I see him or even when I think about him. His name is Alec and he is the most handsome, kind, funny, guy I've ever met. When I do my makeup or put on my clothes in the morning, I think "What would impress Alec?" Of course I know his favorite colors, band, food, and pretty much everything else about him. Don't worry, I'm not stalking him, he's my best friend.

We've been best friends since we met at the zoo when we were five. I was on the playground and some kid pushed me down and laughed. I started crying and Alec ran over and pushed that kid down. We became friends immediately. In third grade he kissed me at my birthday party, and I've had a crush on him ever since. We're in eighth grade now. My name is Bella and I'm in love with my best friend.

I woke up this morning at 6:00 AM as usual. I showered, brushed my teeth, did my hair and makeup, etc. I chose to wear my lace top and skinny jeans. I walked into the kitchen to get breakfast and leave for the bus.
"Bella! I got a call from your social studies teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez. She says you have a D!" my mom said. I sighed. The teachers at our school always call when a student is earning lower than a 70% in the class. I've never been good at social studies. I just don't care about our Founding Fathers or the election of 1824.
"Sorry mom, I'll try harder."I mumbled. I grabbed a piece of toast and rushed out the door to the door stop. Then I remembered. I'm going to see Alec today!
