Three Red Lines (10)
I may not post as much this week because I have to play in the orchestra for my schools play, so I might not have time to post new chapters :(
Also, this chapter is in Travis' point of view
I turned to say something to Scarlette, but she was asleep. She looked so cute. I grabbed a blanket and put it over her. I got up to go downstairs, trying hard not to wake her. I was kind of hungry.
"Hey mom what do we have to eat?" I started looking through all the cabinets and drawers.
"You can make popcorn for Scarlette and you."
"She's asleep." She wouldn't eat it anyway. I'd hate to force her to eat. "I'll just take doritos."
I grabbed my food and went back up to Scarlette. I sat back down and continued watching the TV.
The time went by fast. I checked the clock to see that it was five o'clock. We should probably leave soon. I should wake Scarlette up now.
"Scarlette." I shook her gently. I had to laugh, she didn't want to get up. "Come wake up. We're going to leave in a few minutes."
"How long was I asleep?"
"About an hour and a half."
"You mean I missed most of Star Wars!?"
"Yes, you missed most of it." She's so adorable. "You ready to go?"
"Yeah." I helped her down the stairs.
"Hey mom, we're going to the mall."
"Okay, have fun."
After I helped Scarlette get into her seat, I got in the car and drove. The mall isn't that far so we got there pretty fast.
"So is there any place you'd like to go to first?"
"No. If I pass something good I'll go in." Fair enough. We started walking. Do I hold her hand? She might find that wierd. I'll wait a little, then decide. "Oh, can we go in here?"
I looked to see where she wanted to go. Bizou Accessories. "Ok." She looked around at everything. I saw that she took interest into some of the jewelry. "Did you find anything?"
"Yeah, I like this nose ring. I like how it's a star." I was about to tell her I'd get it for her, but she beat me to it. "I'm paying for it."
"Really I don't mind."
"No, no, you don't have to." I followed her over to the scarves. "I also like these two. But I can't decide which one. Which do you like better?"
"I like the one with the red flowers and the pom-poms."
"Me too. I'll buy that one." She walked up to the cashier and handed her stuff over. It was kind of funny that she almost had to reach up. The lady gave her her stuff back and we headed for the door.
"Look it's Scarlette!" Scarlette froze. I looked to see Shelly and her friends coming towards us.
"Uh, hi Shelly." Scarlette seemed scared. I didn't know why though.
"So I see you got Travis to take you out." Scarlette wouldn't say anything. "Hey why don't you come with us for a second! We have something to show you."
"Um, no that's-" Shelly interupted her.
"It'll only be a second. Travis can have you back after we're done."
"I'll meet you at the food court when you get back." Scarlette was trying to say something but Michelle and Shelly were pulling her with them.
I wonder what they're going to show her. Whatever, I'm hungry. I walked to the food court and decided to get something from Subway. I started to eat and waited for Scarlette to come back. I looked around the place for her.
It wasn't long until I saw her coming. "Oh my god."
