Chapter 1

Chapter One...

I was walking along the shoreline, with a slight breeze in the wind. It was warm, and I stood here thinking. I've been in Florida, for a week, and haven't met anyone. As of right now, I had no new friends, or anyone, other then my Mom. That was what was running through my mind, until I saw her.
She had sandy brown hair, that went to the small of her back. She had a deep brown tan, and big blue eyes. When she looked at me, she smiled. I smiled back, despite myself. She was with another girl, who was slightly.. unattractive.
The cute looking girl waved me over, and I walked towards them. I looked at the other girl with her. She had a lot of acne. Dark peach fuzz along her upper lip, a unibrow, and her hair looked as if it were a little bit greasy, and pulled back into a ponytail.
"Hey." I said, to the cute girl. I looked over at the slightly less attractive one and nodded towards her. She smiled and looked down.
"Hello, there." The cute girl said. "I'm Hannah. This is my friend Naira." She said pointing towards her friend.
"Hey, I'm David." I said, with a smile.
"You new around here?" Hannah asked. She pulled back her long hair, and tied it into a side ponytail.
"Yeah. I moved here last week."
"Oh, well welcome to Florida, then I guess." Hannah said with a laugh, "You want to hang with us?" She asked, almost as if knowing I would deffinatly say yes.
"Uh, yeah. Sure." I said. She smiled, "Alright, well I'm thirsty. I'm going to go get a drink. You guys want anything?" Hannah asked. Both Naira and I shook our heads, and Hannah walked off.
Naira crouched down and sat in the sand, I did the same. She looked at me and smiled. I smiled back, she actually had a really pretty smile.
"So, where'd you come from?" She asked.
"Canada, actually." I said.
"Big change." She said looking out at the water.
"Yeah. A bit." I said.
We sat in silence for a bit, and Hannah came back. She gulped down a few sips of water, and sat next to us.
"Ugh. My hairs getting frizzy." She said, rolling her eyes.
"You should know by now that Florida's humid, the chances are you're hairs going to get frizzy." Naira said with a laugh. Hannah shot her a look,
"Well at least I even style my hair, Naira." she said offensivly. Naira continued to look out at the water, and her smiled faded.
"I'm going home." She said, standing up.
"Why. Because I sai---"
"I have to be home by 4, Hannah." Naira said, looking at me, "It was nice meeting you." She said, walking off.
I looked over at Hannah, she rolled her eyes. "Drama queen." Hannah said. I nodded, and looked back out at the water.
