How do i know if he likes me????????????

So there's this guy I had been really good friends with for about a year and since we'd been friends I've liked him but until recently we had stopped talking because we hardly see eachother and I'm not quite sure why. But somewhere in the middle of the not talking he found out and for a little while he was awkward but every so often we'll talk like normal. The other day we txted for quite a while (a while longer than usual lately) but if/when we talk its only txt. Help :(
