I ran as fast as I could. Even though I knew they were going to catch me eventually, i wasn't going to go down without a fight. All I did was steal one apple. If I was Apollo they wouldn't have cared, but no, just because I was a slave they could arrest me. As I was letting my thoughts wander I didn't notice how slow I was going until they caught me. Great, I thought, now I'm gonna have to fight a lion it something. Sometimes I think it would be better if everyone were peasants. But of course that can't be. "Miss you're coming with us," the first guard said in that voice filled with the I'm better than you tone. "What are you gonna do with me?" I asked in a voice that was as I could get to sounding desperate. "The colleseum," the other guard said with an expression that would make any regular person cry. But I don't cry. They walked me fast in the direction the crowd was merging towards. When we arrived at the arena, they pushed me through a door that would have gone unnoticed if you hadn't looked for it. It lead us through some tunnels underground and there were cells all around us. Some contained peasants who had probably stolen something too. That was the most common crime. But others contained animals, and my thought from earlier came rushing back to me as I saw the lion staring at me hungrily. Maybe he's just there because there was no space somewhere else. But obviously I was.just saying that to make myself fell better. We continued to wind through the passageway until we came to a slight incline and.arrived at a set if doors. They handed me a shield and said good luck. They opened the doors and pushed me through. Let the games begin.
