Teens Shouldn't Be Tried As Adults

Even though a lot of people think teens are old enough to be tried as adults, they aren't. Here's why:
I'm a teen so I know that teens know right from wrong but that's not my arguement. My arguement is that teens are affected by: hormones, peer pressure, alcohol & drugs (admit it, most of us have already started things like that & it affects us more because we're just now starting it), arrogance, the need for freedom, anger, etc. more than adults. I'm not affected so much by peer pressure because I'm lucky enough to have friends who don't pressure me to do things I don't want to do, but I will admit the rest have affected me and made me want to commit crimes. Not major ones like murder but maybe something small like stealing, and MAYBE assault. and if u say you've never thought about commiting a crime, your straight up lying to my face. I think we should be punished but not to the same extent as adults. We should be held responsible for our actions, because we're the future of America and America's screwed if the citizens think they can do whatever they want without concequences, but another argument is that, being a teenager, this is our last chance to have fun before we're expected to be mature adults so if we spend these years in jail, imagine how much we will rebel when we are grown, to make up for the loss of youth.
And imagine how that loss of youth will affect us emotionally. Let's say you're 15 got drunk and crashed a car into another car and someone was injured really bad. That's possibly 4 crimes and you'd be going to jail for about 6 years depending on what the judge thinks. So you'd come out as a 21-year-old. Now, imagine going home to your mom, just to get kicked out, expected to get a job and get your own home. Imagine how much things would have changed in that time and how confused you would be about a lot of the new technology. Imagine all of your friends having moved on and no longer want to have anything to do with you. Imagine watching your friends go to college and get great jobs as you're left out on the steets, studying for your GED, only having had a 9th grade education, knowing you're nowhere near getting that GED, and also having to make time for filling out applications for crappy jobs that you probably won't get anyways for your lack of experience and education, and for having quite a criminal record. Imagine that.
That's why I firmly believe that as teenagers, we should not be tried as adults. Whether you agree with me or not, I think this is a legit reason teens should never be tried as adults

I think you have a very good point here. But my question is, if a teenager commited murder, whether it drunk driving or an actually full out planned murder, should they be sentented as an adult?
Either way it's murder and the teen took another human's life. What's your thought on that?
ok i agree murder is going too far. That would be crossing the line between teenage arrogance and just plain evil. But if it was man slaughter, I think they should maybe do some community service and have house arrest but no jail. The reason for prison is to keep you from doing the same thing again, and if it was accidental then it probably wouldn't happen again.
