Alice in wonderland 2: like mother, like daughter part Two
ok this is part two, hope you all like it!
Chapter 1
Fourteen years later
“Lucinda! Wake up you silly child!” said a frantic voice. Lucy opened her eyes and saw Elizabeth Ascot standing over her with her stern grey eyes piercing Lucy. Elizabeth was Hamish’s new wife, they had married thirteen years ago, and she hated Lucy. “Get up! Our guests are waiting!” Lucy sighed, she knew what her adoptive mother meant, suitors. Lucy got up and walked over to the bathroom and cleaned herself up.
“I’ll be down in a minute.” Lucy called out softly. When she heard the door close she went back into her room and pulled on her light blue dress and slipped on a pair of white high-heeled boots with black laces. She sat down at her dressing table and looked up at the mirror, looking back was a small pale woman with a slight pout on her lips.
Lucy ran a brush through her golden hair and pulled it up into a tight bun with a blue ribbon and placed a blue rose clip on the top. She sighed and stood up. ‘Time to face the music’ she thought silently to herself. Lucy walked down the staircase and out into the garden where the entire town had gathered and were dancing and laughing. A tall man with a black eye patch over one black eye and a dark mop of hair walked up to Lucy and held out his hand.
“May I have this dance Miss Kingsleigh?” he asked with a slight smile on his lips. Lucy hesitantly slipped her hand into his. He pulled her down to the dance floor but in the furthest corner far away from others and they began to dance.
“May I ask of your name sir?” Lucy asked politely. The man snickered slyly; Lucy didn’t like the look of that at all.
“Ilosovic Stayne, but everyone calls me Stayne. And may I say you’re a spitting image of your mother.” Lucy started up at Stayne, she remembered hearing that name but she couldn’t remember when.
“You know my mother? How?” Stayne spun Lucy around and pulled her in.
“Because I killed her.” He whispered in her ear. She remembered him now; he had poisoned her mother. Lucy looked around desperately, trying to see someone to help her out but everyone was so far away. ‘Why did I dance with him?’ she thought as his grip on her tightened. She then saw a white rabbit in a navy waist coat with a golden chain hanging out of its pocket.
Lucy stared at it in shock as it beckoned her; a tiny white dormouse with a red coat with a tiny sword picked up a rock and threw it at Stayne hitting him in the good eye. Stayne loosened his grin on Lucy who stomped on his foot and ran towards the rabbit and mouse. The rabbit and mouse ran through the thickets and trees until they reached a large oak tree.
They both waited until Lucy was in view and then they jumped down a large rabbit hole. Lucy stopped at the edge of the hole and hesitated, but then she heard Stayne coming closer so she jumped down. She closed her eyes and waited for the impact but it never came. She could feel the air rush past as she fell down; she opened her eyes and suddenly saw the end.
She threw out her arms to protect herself but it didn’t hurt as much as she thought it would. She sat up and felt her hair drop.... up! She then realised she was sitting on the ceiling. She then fell down and her hair spilled over her face, she sat up and looked around. The walls were covered by doors except for a part of a wall where there was only a heavy curtain.
Lucy got up and tried to open a few doors but realised they were all locked. She turned around and saw a round table that wasn’t there before. ‘How odd’ thought Lucy. She walked over to the table and saw a silver key. She picked it up and ran over to the doors trying the key in each until she reached the heavy curtain. Lucy grabbed the curtain and pushed it to one side behind a hook. She looked down and saw a small door about a foot high, if that.
She pushed the key into the hole and it fitted perfectly, she turned it and it clicked open. Lucy slammed the door shut and took the key out. She sat down and looked at the table and saw a small bottle with ‘drink me’ on the label. She walked over to the table and thought ‘It’s only a dream.’ As she put the key down and picked up the bottle and took a sip. She gagged a bit and quickly put the bottle down; suddenly the room began to grow.
Lucy then realised that she was shrinking, shrinking into her clothes until she was just the right size to fit through the small door. She grabbed her underskirt and wrapped it around her body and used a ribbon to tie it together and hold it up. Lucy ran up to the door and tried to open it but it was locked yet again. She turned and saw the key was still on the table and it was too high to climb.
She slowly slid down the wall and sighed heavily. Suddenly there was a small white cake with black letters spelling ‘Eat me’. Lucy walked over to the cake and took a bite, and then suddenly she grew and filled the entire room. Amazingly, the ‘Dress’ just stretched; she picked up the now tiny key and bottle and drained the bottle. She coughed and shrunk back down to her miniature size and ran over to the door and shoved in the key.
She turned the key and the door swung open and a soft breeze blew in as she walked through the door.
“I’ll be down in a minute.” Lucy called out softly.
