The Next Dark Princess

"What could be done can be done", her science teacher said. Nina was skeptical about this. Her life was different than others, different than her friends. Nina WAS different. She wasn't the same. She was cold, white, fast, smart, and she could know what you were feeling. She could see the color around the bodies of people, she could see auras. Nina was a vampire. But not a stupid vampire like in Twilight or something like that. She needed human blood to survive. She needed sun to survive. Only one person other than her family knew about this secret. Her best friend Sascha. Sascha was any other average teenage girl you would meet. That was another thing about Nina, she aged. She was also disgusted when someone would speak about the fakes. Nina knew at one point she would explode with all of these feelings. Sometimes knowing what people felt and seeing different body colors made Nina collapse. Collapse with these waves of emotion. "Nina? Nina!" Nina opened her eyes from a little day dream and looked at Sascha. It was one in the morning and since she didn't need to sleep, she would go over to Sascha's house. Her parents would never know, But when Nina looked at Sascha she saw the most horrified face she had ever seen on a human. Nina voluntaringly checked her lips and there was blood. "Oh no! What did I do?! Sascha are your parents all right?" "I don't know. Let me check." This had never happened before. Nina had never killed someone while she was asleep. "My parents are fine." Ok that's good. But who did I... eat?" "I don't know. I just woke up and you were over at the chair with your eyes closed. Were you day dreaming again?" "Yes but I don't remember what it was about. Are you ok?" "I'm fine." "Maybe I should go home." Then Nina jumped out of Sascha's window in the cold, dark night.
