Edward Cullen Love Story (Part 2)
When I got home, Dad was unpacking boxes. He had been working all day, putting furniture into all the rooms and unpacking bits and pieces. ‘’How was your first day?’’ He asked me as I helped him put up my new curtains. ‘’ Fine. I met a nice girl called Sarah and sat with her and her friends at lunch.’’ I replied. After that we ordered a take away because we hadn’t got round to find the pots and pans yet. I went up to room early but I didn’t go to sleep. I started my homework but I just couldn’t concentrate. I couldn’t stop thinking about Edward. What was his problem? I hadn’t done anything to him! It was so frustrating. I said I’d give him another chance before I did anything about it.
The next day was better. I knew my way around the school a bit more and Sarah and Matt were there to help me most of the time. I sat with them at lunch again. But as I entered Maths, I suddenly felt very nervous. Edward was already sitting in the double desk we shared. I walked down and sat down trying not to look at his amazingly handsome face. I took out my books and pretended to be studying. To my surprise he turned to me and said ‘ Hello, I’m Edward Cullen’’ His voice was so beautiful. ‘’ Hi, I’m Jessica Barrell’ I replied nervously. He didn’t say anything else for the rest of the class.
In the next class I sat beside Matt. ’ Saw you talking to Edward’ he said. It sounded like a question ‘’ Yeah. In maths. He introduced himself and I did the same’’ I said. ‘Weird, he usually never talks to anyone.’’ Matt mumbled.
For the next couple of weeks Edward barely said anything. I always thought of things to say to him but I was never brave enough to say them. Then one day, our maths teacher, was sick. She wasn’t in school so when spent the whole 40 minutes sitting there doing nothing. It would have been better than doing maths if Edward hadn’t been sitting beside me, staring at me. I decided it was time to make conversation. ‘’It’s great Mrs. Green isn’t in, isn’t it?’’ I said, casually. ‘Yes’ he replied and was silent for a minute. He was so beautiful and perfect, it was unreal. Then he continued ‘Jessica, at the start I thought I would just be able to ignore you and stay away. But I don’t think I can.’’ This took me by surprise. ‘What do you mean?’ I asked. ‘ I’ve said to much already’’ he said and turned away. I sat there for the next 20 minutes, totally confused.
That night as I lay in bed all I could think about was what Edward had said. Stay away from me?? What did he mean?? Already, I knew that I didn’t want him to stay away. I decided that the next day I would ask him exactly what he meant.
