Ryou~ My Lover
Chapter 1
O-O
I turn the corner to find I'm in another hallway, getting angrier by the minute. This school was so confusing. It was harder to get here, since I was new to this whole city.
Jeez, being new sucks...
Then, crash, I'm on the floor, and I scrape my arm badly. I notice that it isn't bleeding yet, so I can hide it for now.
A hand suddenly appears in front of me, and I grasp it, climbing to my feet and bowing in gratitude.
"Sorry there, bud. I'm Joey Wheeler! You seem lost," says the guy who I ran into.
He's a blonde, well built guy. I take notice of his heavy Brooklyn accent, as well. He looks a little shady, though, and I simply nod to him, brushing dirt off myself.
"It's my fault. I was staring at my schedule and didn't see you. I'm Violet Rose. Nice to meet you, Joey," I say, rubbing the back of my head in an embarrassed manner.
He shakes his head, long, bright locks flowing into his movement, and he laughs. "Hey, if ya' need help, don't hesitate to ask anyone. We're all pretty nice, save for a bully or two. Lemme' see your schedule, Rosy."
"My surname is Rose, and Violet is fine," I smile, handing him the color-coded piece of paper.
"I know, but I give all of my pals nicknames," Joey says, laughing. "You're going to wrong way, Rosy. You're class is all the way on the other side of the school. With Mr. Wheeler here, though, you'll be just fine!" With this, he poses like a dork, and trips over his own shoes, landing with a thump on the floor.
I giggle. This guy, despite his cockiness, was actually pretty funny. "Is that so? Well then, Mr. Wheeler, lead the way to my salvation." I offer my hand, and he takes it with a grin on his face.
"Welcome to Domino High School," is all he says, before we're off...
O-O
"Here we are! Room 100," Joey announces to me, before stepping to the side to let me enter. "It's funny how we have the first 4 classes together! I don't even have that many with Yugi!" he says, turning to me like I was expected to know this stuff.
"Who?" I ask. I glimpse around the room some more, until my eyes land on a small group huddled around two people: A small boy with hair shaped like a star and a girl who looks like a cheerleader.
"Ey, Yugi!" Joey calls, making the small star-headed boy look up from what looks like a set of cards in his hands. So he was Yugi...
He waves us over, and I lag back a little as Joey introduces me to everyone.
"Rosy, this is Yugi, Tea, Tristan, and Ryou Bakura. Though, everyone just calls him Bakura," he says, pointing to each one.
Ryou...such a pretty name, I think to myself.
Yugi had a star-shaped head, Tea had brown hair, Tristan had brown hair as well, and Ryou's was white.
My eyes stay on Ryou. He was...he was...
"Guys, this is Violet Rose, A.K.A Rosy." Joey grins more than I thought possible, and I turn away from the white haired boy.
I smile, bowing deeply. "Nice to meet you all. You can just call me Violet," I say to them, though through my hair I catch a glimpse of Ryou. His eyes were those colored of chocolate, almost like you could drown in them.
I straighten up again, and Tea is suddenly only inches from me.
"I only have one question for you," she says, catching my attention. "Are you a player?"
Silence, and I just stare at her, trying to hide my offended expression.
"No, I'm not a player. But if I were, I honestly doubt I'd tell you otherwise," I state, unable to hide my anger as I simply push past her to look for an empty desk.
Joey must've read my mind, for he grabbed my arm as I went to walk away. "Don't mind Tea, she's just an easily jealous type," he winks at me, and I nod, walking off to look for a desk.
Then the teacher comes in, and calls me over to stand next to him.
"We have a new student here today," he begins, turning to me. "She's come all the way from Texas to go here, and we all should show her our deep respect. She's taken 4 years of Japanese just so she could properly communicate with the rest of us! Please welcome Ms. Violet Fiona Anamarie Rose," he says, bowing to me.
I bow back, and smile, turning to the class. "Hello. Please, just call me Violet," I say, before turning to the teacher to ask where my seat was.
He points to the desk next to Ryou, and I smile inwardly...
O-O Ryou's point of view O-O
Violet...she's so, unique. I don't think I've ever seen anyone like her before.
She's come all the way from Texas, and speaks perfect Japanese! Not to mention she made Tea look like an idiot. That's something I've always wanted to do. I'm going to try talking to her at lunch today. I want to get to know her more.
O-O
The bell rings for lunch, and I head out quickly, just barely avoiding Jieno, the school bully. He and his stupid group of lackeys are always making fun of my hair. They even spread a rumor that I dyed it white. It isn't dye, but it's not a natural color, either. I hate it, because I can't even cut it without it growing back unusually quick by the next morning!
I stop when I see Violet in the hallway, leaning against her locker, unable to move. There was Jieno, both arms on either side of her head and leaning his head down to glare at her.
I hide behind the corner, listening to the conversation going on.
"What's up with your hair? No one's hair color is black like that. You dye it or somethin'?" he asks, twirling an onyx lock in his pudgy fingers.
She twists away, brushing her hair back, revealing dazzling emerald eyes. "It's natural, thank you. Now if you could please-" Violet starts, before he butts in.
"Please what? You aren't going anywhere, sweetheart," Jieno cuts in, slamming his hands against the lockers, making her flinch.
I see him smirk at her surprise, and clench my fists, trying hard to fight down my anger. I couldn't let him intervene or he'd ruin everything for me, just like before...
"I won't be such a sweetheart if you don't move," Violet states, looking for a way to slip past his bulky arms.
She's looking nervous...I'm wondering if I should do something. I do when I see that she gives up looking for an opening.
"Listen, hun. This is my school here, my turf. So here are some things you may want to remember: A, obey all my rules. B, I hear anything about you dissing me, you're toast. And D, You ever see me, you bow to me and call me "Sama". Got it?" Jieno says.
Violet tries to fight down a laugh. I think she knows now what an idiot this boy is. A, B, D? Really, Jieno? How'd you ever make it to the 10th grade?
But I ignore my urge to laugh and step forward. "Is there a problem here?" I ask, as sweetly as possible. I needed him to get his guard down, if only for a moment.
He snorts, putting one of his arms down to look at me better. "Hey look, it's Yin and Yang, white hair and black hair, the weirdos of Domino High School!" Jieno states, raising head high in pride as he looks back and fourth between Violet and I.. "Beat it, idiot, before I beat you."
I simply step closer. "I think it's time you get to lunch, Jieno. I know how to greet people without threatening their lives in the process." I say, almost within arm's reach of him.
He scowls at me, and I know what's coming.
He lunges, shouting, "Punk!" before swinging his fist around for an uppercut.
I back away right before he has a chance to hit me. His footing is lost, and he's face-first on the ground.
I quickly take the opportunity to grab Violet by the hand and pull her off to the library.
Jieno's never entered the library before, so I knew we were safe...
O-OAuthor's Notes((I advise you read them))O-O
Violet Rose is mine, as well as Jieno Moriarti. If I see these names being used in any story I see after this, you will be reported.
Everyone else in this story is not mine, nor do I think they are mine. The plot is mine, as well.

GAH!!! thnx to the Yu-Gi-Oh abridged series, all i can hear is Tea's man voice!!!! but really good story!! you should continue!
Oh my God, right?
"Damn it, Yugi, touch my BOOBS!!" XD
Best. Quote. Ever.
And thanks so much! (I was wondering when I'd get a comment...lol) I've been getting a lot of writer's block recently, but I'm 1/2 way done with chapter 2, so it should be upload maybe in a few days. :)
Heyy XD I saw your comment on my story competition and I was just wondering whether this is an entry (you said you thought the story was intriging)- I'm just trying to sort out the entries! If it is, plz message me, and you must have at least 10 chapters by June the 15th! x
Oh, no thank you. This isn't the story I was going to submit, since this one was started before you began the contest.
But I've come across a little writer's block and now I don't think I'll participate. If I come up with a bad idea then I find there's no point in me playing.
So, to answer your question: no, this isn't my entry, and I'd would not like to enter your contest at this time.
Thanks.
Okayy :D thankyou anyway- I'm just trying to get it all sorted out!
This is a good story. Ryou Bakura is hot! Befriend me please! I can tell that you are an awsome person!
