"I said answer my question Why are you here?" He started to get mad. I looked to see who it was. Crap. It was Allen from the school's football team. I think I'll answer that question now.
"I'm uh, here to see Travis." I stayed quiet avoiding any eye contact with him.
He started to laugh. "Travis, really? You think you really have a chance with him?"
"Actually, he asked me to come and watch him. We had a date last night and I stayed at his house. So yes, I do believe I have a chance with him." Was I really just agressive? That's a first.
"You slept with him!? I am definately telling Shelly when she gets here!" Before I could defend myself, he was already walking away. Great.
I could see the lacrosse team coming out. Travis waved to me. I waved back and walked over to him.
"You okay? You look upset."
"It's nothing. I'll tell you later."
"Alright, well I have to go warm-up." He smiled and ran over to the team.
The game started and I looked for Travis or my brother. I could find Travis easily, he was the tallest. Halfway through the game I felt someone tap my shoulder.
"Hey Scarlette, I like the nose." Shelly. "Allen just told me what you and Travis did last night."
"He heard me wrong, we didn't do anything like that."
"It's okay, you don't have to be ashamed. I'm just going to make sure everyone knows about it." She smiled at me like nothing was wrong. "So what was it like? Any girl at our school would love to have been you." Now she was glaring at me.
"It wasn't like anything, nothing happened. I got tired and fell asleep at his house."
"Sure." I moved a piece of hair out of my face. "OMG. I'm totally telling people about those too!" I wasn't sure what she meant at first, until she grabbed my arm to examine the cuts.
"Please, don't..." I almost cried. "Travis is the only person that knows."
"Well he won't be for long." With that, she left to start spreading the rumor.
The game was over and I was waiting for Travis. All that is on my mind now is what Shelly is going to tell everybody. This is bad.
I leaned against his car and it started beeping.
Someone was laughing. "I'm sorry did I scare you?"
"Yeah, I thought I set your car alarm off."
"No, but I did." He opened the trunk and put his bag away. "You looked good out there."
"Thanks. You were fun to look at."
"Excuse me?"
"I was watching you at certain times." Did he see me and Shelly talking? "You looked very cute today." I looked down so he couldn't see my face. "Blushing much?" I smiled and laughed. "Let's go."
He dropped me off at my house and walked me to the door. "If I don't see you tomorrow I'll see you Monday morning at 6:30."
"Okay. I'll text you later maybe." We hugged and he left.
The rest of my Saturday resulted in me sitting in my room thinking.
