My boyfriend is an atheist. He's not one of the people who say it cause it sounds cool.
He's a scientific mind. He questions things. So, naturally he questioned the afterlife and God, and decided it's something he doesn't believe in.
I myself am 'spiritual but not religious'. I have beliefs in certain things, like karma, fate and the soul, and I believe that there's something to the spark of life, but I don't believe in any deities.

The belief that there was nothing and nothing happened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.................
...makes perfect sense...
And atheists say they have 'scientific minds.' Dude if that is scientific then I'm a pink platypus.
