Chapter 1

The First Game

by: BakaGreen
Lily shot out of bed and got dressed quickly before running down the steps of the girls dorm and up into the boys dorm. All of the doors were shut. She ran to the second years and knocked on the door. She waited awhile before knocking again. Soon Warren opened the door in his uniform. "What?" he said with a sigh.

"Are they up?" she asked. He chuckeled and rolled his eyes.

"I'm the only one up," he said. A sly grin spread across her face.

"Can I come in?" she asked he nodded. She went over to Loki's bed first and murmured a few words before water came out the tip of her wand. He shot up.

"Bloody," She clamped a hand over his mouth and he rolled his eyes before getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom with a rumpled uniform. Lily walked over to Scorpius where she gave him the same treatment.

"What was that for?" he groaned.

"We have our first game today and you aren't even up!" Lily said. Scorpius rolled his eyes and couldn't really stay mad for long. "You know your like the sister I never wanted," she rolled her eyes.

"Can you lovebirds continue this in the common room. Some of us aren't freaks of nature," said another roommate, Christian. Lily got ready to aim her wand but Scorpius pulled it out of her grasp.

"Nice another wand. Mine was getting kind of old," he said. She snatched it of his hands.

"Hurry up. We need breakfast and I'm sure Flint is going to want us too the pitch early," she said.

"I'm the replacement and I'm pretty sure she's not going to get injured before the game," Scorpius said. By now the Second year boys were watching this exchange. They had gotten used to the red headed girl coming into their room.

"How about you go and wake up Flint with that nice little spell, I'm going back to sleep," he rolled over and Lily got up and crossed her arms. They started laughing, but Loki came out and jumped on him.

"Why can't you guys leave me alone?" he groaned, but actually got out of bed.

"See you in the great hall!" Lily called. Loki followed her out, laughing. They headed to the Great Hall where they started eating an early breakfast. Most of the Gryffindor team was there already. She caught sight of her brother and he didn't even treat her to a scowl.

She felt the excitement of morning wear away in a second. A lump formed in her throat and she beagan to push the food around her plate.

Marvolo walked in and saw his team sitting at the table. Lily was of course sitting across from a sleepy Scorpius and next to Loki. Loki was a Chaser and was pretty good. They had a one sixth year Beater (he was the other one) and the Seeker was a seventh year girl was tiny and blended in.

"You've got to eat something," he said to Lily who was pushing around a full plate of food. She rolled her eyes and took a bite. He himself sat down and started shoveling food into his mouth. "What was going on in your dorm this morning?" he asked Loki. Both him and Scorpius looked at Lily who was blushing and trying to use her hair to cover it.

"Lily decided we all needed to be awake at the crack of dawn," Christian said as he walked in sitting next to Scorpius.

"You didn't have to get up," she said smiling.

"Like I could go back to sleep. You are so lucky Score took your wand when he did because if you had done it to me..."

"You wouldn't dare break my wand," she said.

"Your right. I would hold it above your head so you couldn't reach it," she scowled at him. Marvolo looked at Lily, she wasn't that tiny.

"Well what did you do?" he asked her.

"It was a simple spell..."

"That spurted water into our face!" Loki said grinning at her. Marvolo chuckled, he knew the spell well. The team finished eating and by now others had started to trickle in. Lily looked more relaxed and she was talking with Score; which probably had more to do with it than anything.

"Let's go," Marvolo said in his deep voice once they finished. Lily jumped up and started skipping when they reached the doorway she linked arms with Score and Loki trying to get them to do the same. He rolled his eyes. He really didn't know how she got sorted in here. Most Slytherins would be mortified if they saw her do that. Marvolo let it slip, knowing that she needed to be like this or she would be doing loop de loops on her broom during the game.

Lily had changed into her robes. They were getting ready to walk out on the pitch, but first Flint was talking to them. "Last year we had a good team and we still got beat. But the team this year is brilliant. I know we can beat Gryffindor, I've seen some of their practices. Who cares if they got Wood?" he asked. No one answered. "Who's going to win?" he asked.

"SLYTHERIN!" they chorused.

"Who is going to take the Cup?" he asked.

"SLYTHERIN!" Everyone shouted. Lily felt the blood coursing through her veins and desperatly wanted to be on the broom.

"Who is going to lose?" he asked finally.

"GRYFFINDOR!" they shouted loudest. Flint smiled and looked at his team. "Let's go," The Slytherin team headed out to the pitch. The silver and green errupting into cheers. Lily smiled feeling fantastic.

The entire team walked to the center. "Now I want a good clean game...All of you," Wood told them, scowling at the Slytherin's. "Shake hands," he said. Indicating Teddy Lupin (whose hair was a scarlet and his eyes gold) and Flint who was large and brooding.

"Mount up," Wood said and they were in the air.

The first part of the game was dull and boring. We were ahead by twenty and Lily was getting bored. Flint was probably one of the best beaters she'd seen. Loki, the third year and the fifth year were great Chasers.

Even though they were good, Teddy was amazing and in his last year. He was determined to win the cup again, so he would have a perfect record when he graduated. She saw the red blur coming towards her along with Scott Finigan.

The Quaffle was coming towards her, along with a bludger she didn't see. A burly sixth year had hit with his bat and was heading her way. Lily was moving to block it when the bludger hit her right arm. The Quaffle made it through the goal and she was nearly knocked off her broom.

Gryffindor errupted in cheers and Slytherin jumped to there feet and yelled foul. Wood got on the pitch. "It was in the scoring area," he shouted trying to calm the crowd of green and silver.

"Time out," Flint called. The players headed to the ground. "Potter are you okay?" he asked.
"Fine," she said through clenched teeth. "As long as you promise to get that dumb Gryffindor," she said. "Blimey it was ten points. It's not like James is going to catch the snitch any time soon. Teddy should know that," she ranted.

"What do you mean James isn't going to catch it any time soon?" Flint asked.

"He can't see anything and refuses to wear glasses. Doesn't want to look like father," she said. At that the Slytherin's broke into smiles.

"Are you going to be alright?" Lily nodded. "Nothing more than a bruise," she said through a fake smile. She wasn't going to let on how hard that prat hit her.

"Are you going to catch that Snitch any time soon?" Flint called to Jacqueline.

"Shut it, the nasty little bugger keeps disapearing. Potter hasn't even spotted it. Looks like ginger was right," Marvolo snorted and was busy trying to keep the bludgers from hitting Jacky. He saw Lily from across the pitch and she was looking horrible. He followed Jacky as she saw a flash of gold on the other side.

As he narrowed he saw Goyle flying around. Lily looked nearly faint and white as a sheet, her freckles on her nose sticking out and hair more vibrant looking than usual. "Goyle cover Potter," he said.

"Why?"

"I'm covering Jacky and I don't want our only keeper that can actually stay on her broom getting knocked off. That's why," he said before swerving his broom.

Soon Jackie was going after the snitch. He saw her racing around the edge of the pitch and going higher and higher. By some miracle Potter actually caught sight of it, but Jackie was a mere inches away. That's when he saw it. Lupin was getting ready to score and the same 6th year Gryffindor had just hit the bludger which was going towards her. If she blocked the quaffle she would get hit in the head.

"Lily!" he heard someone shout from the stands. Scorpius was yelling at her, looking angry. She rolled her eyes and went for it anyway. All of Slytherin jumped up and started cheering. Jackie had caught the snitch and was holding it up.

"SLYTHERIN WINS!" the announcer shouted. "PERKINS CAUGHT THE SNITCH!" the crowd was so overjoyed they almost didn't notice the red head plummeting to the ground.
