Okay, I was suddenly inspired and I just had to write it. (even though I'm already doing 4 stories.) so sorry if I don't post on some of them for a while. This story is about a girl going back through time on accident. She meets her young parents, and has the adventure of her life, but can she make it back without destroying the space-time continueome?! (sorry, I went a little geek on ya there.) :P but anyways, please enjoy, comment and rate! :D

Chapter 1

What have I done?

"that's it Morgan! Go to your room!" my mom shouted angrily at me, but I was way ahead of her. Normally I would have said something snappy back, like 'i'm going because I want to, not because you told me to!' but tonight, I really just needed to escape.
Hi, I'm Morgan Turner. The average 14 year old girl, except for the part where my family seems to be totally against getting along. Actually, that might be normal, but it doesn't seem like it should be. My mom and I get into fights like this a lot, so I'm used to it. It's been like this every since my parents got the divorce 5 years ago. Normally having a fight like this wouldn't have bothered me, but tonight was different somehow.
I trudged up to my room and slammed the door. I shoved all of my important belongings into my gym bag, and slinging it over my shoulder I climbed out of my window and onto the roof. It groaned slightly under my weight as I made my way to the drain pipe leading to the ground. Carefully and stealthily I crept along it, making my way to freedom.
As soon as my feet touched the grass I was off, running as if my life depended on it towards the unknown. There was no turning back now.
I ran and ran for a long time, until I had to stop to catch my breath. I let my bag slip to the ground as I sat on the pavement staring at the stars.
Suddenly, something caught my eye. There was a building behind me, it looked pretty abandoned, but there was a mysterious glow coming from one of it's old windows.
I crept over to get a better look. Hunched low to the ground I peered over the window sill, and saw a futuristic looking machine propped up in a corner of the old room. I climbed through the old window, not making a sound and approached the odd contraption. All of a sudden, I heard my mom's voice in my head: don't go near that thing Morgan!
Of course this only made me step closer. It was shiny and smooth to the touch, but as my finger brushed it, two panels opened with a whoosh, revealing a tiny compartment with a key pad. Again the voice came, don't you dare lay a finger on that Morgan! Stay away! of course I stepped inside, and began punching random numbers. "this may be the stupidest thing I've ever done, but at least it's helping me vent!" I exclaimed, smiling to myself. Suddenly, a big red button caught my eye, those always do the most damage, don't touch it Morgan! partly my mom, and partly my common sense shouted at me, but I wasn't in the listening mood. I punched the red button down as hard as I possibly could.
Time selected, prepare for travel. a woman's voice said calmly through invisible speakers.
"What?!" I shouted, but the doors were already closing.
"Hey, let me out of here!" I yelled, banging at the panels, but it was not use.
Traveling in 3, 2, 1...
That was the last thing I heard before it started. I felt like every molecule of my body was being taken apart, and then placed back unevenly like a 5 year old trying to do a puzzle. After what seemed like hours, it finally stopped. I fell to my knees on the smooth metal floor of the machine. There was an uncharacteristic 'ding' like I'd just ridden an elevator, and the doors popped open.
I ran out as quickly as I could. "now I know why people kiss the ground in movies!" I panted, looking back at that horrible machine, but it had vanished!
I picked up my bag, and looked out the window. It was morning already. had it all been some sort of dream? I wondered, squeezing out of the window again. I rubbed my eyes, and started walking again.
Before i could get too far though, I was stopped by curiosity; where had I been all night? I turned back to the building again, expecting to see an old run-down deserted place, but instead found a perfect picture of the school my parents had gone to in middle school.
but-- that's impossible! This school was closed down ages ago because of a fire! How can it look so new? I thought quizzically looking around for any clues. I didn't have to look long. There, walking down the sidewalk were my parents. Not my mean-and-old parents, but the old-picture-album-middle schooler ones! now way! This isn't happening, time travel isn't real! I bet this is all just a bad dream! Yeah, that's it! I rationalized. maybe if I pitch myself I'll wake up! so I pinched myself as hard as I could. Nothing happened. "no way! This can't be happening!" I shouted, gaining a few odd looks in my direction.
What have I done?!
