That was hard to do. I can't classify tops outside of genres, they're just too abstract for comparison. I recommend Dream Theatre, the bassist is insane and they have a good instrumental balance.
Thrash Metal is a blend of metal and punk
Progressive is like storyline music, rising action to a climax then fall
Punk is fast paced agressive fun
Nu Metal is alt/metal
Celtic is any genre with celtic instruments: accordion, banjo, fiddle, fife, and/or bagpipes Celtic punk is punk + celtic instruments
