silver rain-(werewolves and shapeshifters in love?)

i jumped between them.all the papers in my hands fluttered slowly to the ground.arin and riley stopped glaring at eachother and helped me pick them up.finally when they were all picked up one last paper lay at rileys feet.i looked down at the title.it read'life as a wolf'.i couldnt let him get that so i dived forward but not before he read the titile also.his lips pulled up in a smile.arin turned to riley glaring again.i grabbed him by the jacket and pulled him back.

the whole day went on like this.riley and arin sworn enemies, each of them on the edge and i had no idea why.by sixth period i was through.riley walked into class followed by his all faithful besotted pack of girls.i rolled my eyes when he sat on the other side of me.arin said a rude remark and that sent me off.my chair screeched on the floor as i stood.i turned first to arin."first of all you arent my boyfriend so why are you trying to protect me from him"i jabbed my finger at riley."second why do you guys hate eachother!"i screamed at them both.the whole class went silent and i didnt care.i marched straight past them all and out the door.i wasnt even a foot from the door when riley had me by the arm.he pulled my down the hallway."what are you doing?"i said."just come with me and nice work back there"he said grinning.i smirked and we ran straight out of the school right into the woods.my heart skipped along with excitement for putting Arin in his right place.i felt wild and giddy.soon i was running faster than riley but i slowed not wanting him to think or become suspicious about my speed and strength.
panting i turned and leaned against a tree.the bark bit itno my back but i didnt care.riley stood in front of me but close enough to touch.his eyes locked with mine and my breathing became hard.i gripped onto the bark as he came closer so we were pressed together.his sweet scent washed over me and i wanted to melt.his lips met mine and immediatly we started to kiss passionatly.his fingers traced up my side and my hands wound around his neck.his breath was ragged on my neck as he bent down and traced it with his lips.i shivered against his touch.then i pulled away from him.he scowled and chased after me as i darted through the trees having no idea where i was going.
after a while i slowed and Riley seemed intent on making us go in the opposite direction.he would say something dealing with heading the other way which made me want to go the way he didn't want me to even harder.i noticed the trees were thicker here and i pushed through the low branches effortlessly. Riley groaned behind me and i pushed out of the trees into a front lawn.a magnificent house stood in the middle with a eerie look like that of a beady eyed crow watching its next meal.my jaw dropped and i stared at the manicured lawn and tall pillars that supported beautifully carved edges and linings.but there was no driveway or road leading off in any direction.i puzzled this then turned to Riley who was looking down."whose house is this?"i whispered.
he kicked a rock that sat in front of him."mine"he grumbled.i shook my head in disbelief."what?!"he turned towards the house letting its tall shadow loom over him."my parents left it for me...they died.my aunt and uncle take care of me but there gone right now on vacation."he said.this house and Riley seemed mysterious but i didn't want to press him."we might as well go inside."he said and grabbed my hand steering me to the door.

the inside was even more amazing.a ivory double spiral staircase,marble floors,old but beautiful furniture,and statues of angels and wolves.then in one corner i noticed a statue of Artemis.that intrigued me because my race was supposedly created by Artemis after she failed at making the werewolves.we were sworn enemies after that but Artemis never did lose faith in us ,her favored, and that is why werewolves despise us so.
i touched her silver bow that was chiseled into her hand.then her perfect cheek. Riley watched me with interest."do you like her?my dad imported her from Greece."i nodded."you seem to be very intrigued by her."he whispered almost wistfully.i stared at him then said slowly."yes i am i have a deep feeling towards the goddess she was always my favorite."his eyes glittered and he pulled me towards him and up the stairs.
his bed room was not as fancy as the house but was a simple teenagers room.i circled his four poster bed(the only grand thing in his room),and walked over to his window.i stared across the tree tops and watched a hawk glide lazily over the forest.hands wound around my waist and Riley lips touched my ear"so what do you want to do tonight?"he whispered.i smiled and tucked back a curl behind my ear."you already know"......TBC
