"Hello?"
"Hi Scarlette. It's Travis."
"Are you calling from your house?"
"Yes. Sorry I forgot to give this number. Anyways, you left your sweatshirt here."
"Oh, can you bring it to school tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Okay well I'll see you tomorrow morning."
"Bye." I hung up and finished my homework.
It was ten o'clock and I was getting tired. I crawled into bed and fell asleep.
The next morning, I was eager to wake up. Travis was back at school today.
"Travis!" I ran over to him and hugged him.
"Why are you so excited?" He was laughing a little.
'Because you'll be at school today." I returned the smile and sat in the car.
As usual, my hand intertwined into Travis'. Everytime my hand was in his I would smile and blush. But I made sure he couldn't see it.
As we walked to homeroom, I could here the principal talk over the loudpeaker.
"Goodmorning everyone. As most of you know, the Junior Prom is right around the corner. Tickets will be on sale starting today. You can get your tickets during your lunch period. There is a table set-up by the main entrance. Thank you, and have a nice day."
"Will you go to prom with me?"
I looked up at him. "Of course."
We continued on our way to homeroom. Nathan was coming the other way. He winked at me. This is awkward.
Travis squeezed my hand tighter. He was trying to control himself obviously.
In homeroom, we started talking about prom.
"I can't believe it's in two and a half weeks!" Travis was excited.
"Same. I actually didn't think I would be going. But then I started hanging out with you, and then you asked me this morning." My smile was probably the biggest smile I've smiled in a long time. "What made you want to talk me anyway?"
"Well, we've had homeroom together for three years, and I've always thought you were really pretty..." Now he was the one blushing.
"Are you blushing? Travis Foreman blushes?" He laughed a little and tried to stop.
"Alright, alright. Now let's get to math." My fingers laced themselves with Travis'. I smiled brightly as we walked into math class.
"Ah, it's nice to see you smile Ms. Harris." I liked my math teacher. He was my favorite. 'What's making you happy?"
My smile got even bigger. "Travis."
