Wild Souls

Reads: 3 | Chapters: 1 |

This is a fanfiction based around the online game 'Feral Heart'. The main characters are Bane (played by Lion_Heart) and Skyprint (played by Wikina). They are close siblings who seem to do everything together, but after an incident in the forest they are seperated. They don't meet again until they are late teenagers, but there's a noticable change in Skyprint. For the worse. Now, they must face the ultimate challenge; stand by eachother's sides, or abandon them for dead?

Chapter 1

Prolouge

"Hey, Skyprint!"

The small ivory-and-azure wolf glanced up from where she was snuffling around in a pile of leaves, her eyes lighting at the sight of her brother; Bane. Allowing a grin to break out over her muzzle, she whirled around and bounced over to the slightly younger pup, leaving the leaf pile abandoned and forgotten. Giggling, she bowled into his side, sending them both sprawling into the soft earth.

"Oi!" Bane protested, narrowing his dark amber eyes in a mock glare. This, of course, didn't phase Skyprint. Smiling, she hopped off of her littermate, allowing him to scramble to his paws.

On first glance, Bane and Skyprint looked nothing alike. Bane was a muscular, garnet-coloured wolf with tan streaks running through his fur. Skyprint was smaller and thinner; her pelt was a light blue with a darker ocean colour running straight down her back in a line. She had slitted pupils, whereas Bane didn't. Her eyes were a deep lavender. She took after their father, and Bane took after their mother.
Despite the difference in physical appearances, their personalities mingled well together. Bane was playful and enjoyed pulling minor pranks on the adults of his pack. Skyprint was more serious and always had to jump in to keep Bane in line or prevent him from getting into trouble.

All in all, they were the perfect brother-sister match. Those days spent frolicking in the wilderness without a care in the world were long forgotten, however. The memories had faded into nothing but a mere blur, remembered only vaguely by one. The other wouldn't even care if they had a long-lost sibling.

If only they had been more careful that night. If only Bane hadn't decided to pull another prank. Than maybe, just maybe, things wouldn't be so complicated.
