Life is Full of Surprises( Harry Potter love story) Part 32

After getting out of the carriages you walked into the castle with Ginny trying to get out of your bad mood. You took a deep breath and put a smile on your face, but it quickly disappeared as you got pelted by water balloons by Peeves. " PEEVES!" You screamed. Ginny was bent over, laughing hysterically. You glared at her but then Peeves dropped two water balloons on her and now you were the one laughing. Professor McGonagall ushering everyone towards the Great Hall so you walked in with Ginny, soaking wet and laughing.
You sat next to Ginny at the Gryffindor table waiting for the Sorting to happen so you could finally eat. You looked through the line of first years and noticed a little boy who looked a lot like Colin Creevy. Colin was in your year but you never really talked to him, he was like in love with Harry and you found it really funny. " Hey Colin, is that your brother?" you asked. Colin smiled proudly " Yes he is a bet he will get into Gryffindor he's a great kid!" Right as he finished Mcgonagall called "Creevy, Dennis" up to the sorting hat and as his brother had predicted he was put in Gryffindor. As he walked by the table he stared at Harry's scar. You laughed to yourself and waited for the rest of the sorting to be done. Finally when the last person was sorted into their house the feast began. You filled your plate and began to eat. Nearly Headless Nick sat, or more like floated, by Harry " That Peeves! He's has been real trouble he has. All summer he had been causing problems with the house elves!" Before anyone could say anything Hermione exclaimed " Hogwarts partakes in slave labor!" " Yes, the house elves make all the food....." Sir Nicholas said. Hermione looked furious and disgusted and refused to eat the rest of her food. As dinner finished Dumbledore rose to start his beginning of the year speech. " So, now that we have all been fed and watered. So I must once more ask attention while I give out a few notices. Mr. Filch has asked me to tell you that this year the lists of forbidden objects has increased to four hundred and thirty seven." You saw a small smile appear on his face " If anyone is interested in seeing the full list, you can view it in Mr. Filch's office." " Hey Ginny we better go check that out!" You joked. She laughed as did Harry who was sitting next to you. " It is also my painful duty to inform you that Inter- House Quidditch Cup will not take place this year." Before he could continue he was interrupted by an uproar in the great hall. " What?!" Harry gapsed. Fred and George just stared at each other to Dumbledore in shock. It was actually quite funny, you were getting a kick out of it. " This is due to an event that will be starting in October, and continuing throughout the school year, taking up most of the teacher's time and energy. But I'm sure you will all enjoy it immensely. And I have to great pleasure to announce this year at Hogwarts.." But before he could continue he was cut off again. There was a roar of thunder and the Great Hall's doors were thrown open, making you jump. A man was standing in the doorway and every eye in the Great Hall was on him. He pulled of the hood of his black traveling cloak and walked towards the teacher's table. When he approached Dumbledore he shook his seemed to have quick conversation with him and then took his seat the the teachers table. " May I introduce our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Moody." Dumbledore said breaking the silence. " Wait Moody? As in Mad-Eye Moody?" You asked. " Must be." Ron said. " He's a little rough around the edges." You said noticing the scars all over his face. " As I was saying, we are to have the honor of hosting a very exciting event that has not been held for over a century. It is my very great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year. " You're JOKING!!" Fred said loudly. " No Mr. Weasley I am not joking. But now that you mention it, I did hear and excellent one over the summer about a troll, a hag, and a leprechaun who all go into a bar...." You laughed " Oh I love Dumbledore." Professor MsGonagall cleared her throat. " Er, yeah maybe this is not the time..... no. Where was I? Oh yeas the Triwizard Tournament..." Dumbledore continued but you got distracted. Draco was trying to get your attention from across the Great Hall. " What?" you mouthed to him. " Can we talk?" he mouthed back. "Fine." you mouthed also kind of wanting to talk to him. " What was that about?" Ginny asked giving you a funny look. " Nothing." You said. " Okay now off to bed now everyone!" Dumbledore said dismissing everyone.

While walking back to the common room Fred and George complained how it wasn't fair that they couldn't join because they were going to be 17 in April. You saw Draco near the bathrooms and said " I'll catch up with you, I really need to go to the bathroom." And walked towards the bathrooms.

"What do you want?" you asked. " Wow what's with the hostility?" Draco asked teasingly. When you didn't respond he continued " What was with you on the train?" " What was with me on the train? What about you? You were the one acting like a complete jerk!" you protested. " You know I don't get along with Weasley, Potter and that Mud-" But he stopped himself " I mean Granger." " First of all 'Potter' is my brother and second Ron and Hermione are my friends and I would really prefer if you wouldn't call her a mudblood, you know how I feel about that." You said sternly. " Okay I'm sorry, I'll try to be nicer. If that's what you want." He said with a small smile on his face. " Okay thank you." and you turned to head back to the common room. " Wait." Draco said. He grabbed your arm and pulled you into a hug. " I missed you." he said softly. You smiled and hugged him back in response. " So what did you do this summer you never answered my letter?" Draco asked. " Mostly danced. I had dance almost everyday for 12 hours a day." You said. " That could explain why it looks like you haven't eaten in a month." You laughed " Yeah well I should get going. I'll talk to you later." You walked back to the common room and went straight to your dorm.

When you walked in you saw Ginny sitting on your bed. " Can I help you?" you asked sitting next to her. " So what'd yo do?" she asked. " I told you I went to the bathroom." " _ I'm your best friend I know when you're lying. You were with Draco weren't you." She said more as a statement than a question. " Yeah... I was. Why are you looking at me like that?" You asked kind of freaked out by the look she was giving you. " _ he's bad news. You know he's a jerk, but you're only giving him the time of day because he was nice to you when Seamus wasn't. He's just going to hurt you and I don't want to see that happen to you." She said seriously. " Thanks for the concern but that's not going to happen. He's a different person when he's around me and he's actually really sweet. Now if you mind I'm going to bed." You said ending the conversation. You were a little mad at Ginny. How could she say that. First of all you could take care of yourself and second of all she doesn't know him like you do. Also he isn't the rebound guy, Seamus may have hurt you but that doesn't matter any more.
