Our school got hit by a tornado today...

Chapter 1

Whoosh...

Me and Becky (my friend) got off the bus and cut through the cafeteria to go to our usual spot before school. It was super calm so we didn't see anything coming. Then lightning struck and it started pouring. Literally. The wind picked up and it knocked me over. I got up and we ran straight to the band room. Right before I got to the door the wind picked me up and I screamed and grabbed onto a pole and pulled myself down. We got inside then and we were safe. There was huge hail and it was pitch black. Sirens went off too. We lost power. When it was over and we went outside again (3 hours later) the whole agriculture department was destroyed. The greenhouse roof was torn off and all the plants were destroyed. A lot of branches were everywhere and trees were knocked over. Power lines got knocked over and one hit a bus (no students on) and it caught fire. As far as I know, no one got hurt. I checked with my dad and all he had was no power.
