Chapter 1

Making Friends

by: BakaGreen
"Hurry up!" Norah cried pulling on her father's hand, finally she gave up and grabbed the cart.

"Nor," Lily shouted at her daughter, her daughter didn't even turn around.

"She's your daughter," Scorpius said with a chuckle, looking at his wife. Her red hair was coming out of her braid and she was holding Leo's, there five year old son, hand and Holly's ,there seven year old daughter, hand.

"Maybe I should go with Norah to make sure she doesn't get into any trouble," said Remus. He was a younger version of Scorpius with glasses and couldn't wait to go to Hogwarts.

"Sorry, sport you have to wait three more years," Scorpius said putting an arm around his sons shoulder.

"Norah, don't even think about!" Lily cried as Norah sprinted towards the wall before jumping on the cart. Scorpius was laughing. "It's not funny!" she did.

"Oh, yes it is," he said walking through the barrier in time to see Norah about to crash into a girl sitting on her trunk reading a book. Before he had time to react the girl had her wand out and said a few words sending purple sparks stopping the cart. "Norah Grace Malfoy! What did I tell you?"

"I didn't do anything! Besides mum told me not to think about it and I didn't think about it," she said with a smirk. The girl sitting on her trunk was pretending not to listen.

"Clearly," Lily said looking at the girl who was just as stubborn as her. "I better not get any owls about you in the first week," the girl rolled her eyes.

"Okay," she said with a smirk, the eleven year old girls head was already thinking about how many loopholes her mum left. That's when Remus chose to mutter to his father,

"Maybe I should go to supervise dad," Norah's eyes widened. "You told him I needed to be supervised!" her voice raised an octive then relaxed. "If any of my siblings are coming it's Leo," she said smiling at the little boy with hair like flames.

"No! Now get on the train before I change my mind," Lily said looking at her daughter. She knew her eldest and youngest when put together could create just as much havoc as the infamous Weasly twins. Norah gave both of her parents hugs before getting on the train. Most everyone was on except for the girl that had stopped the cart.

"Looks like all the compartments are full," Norah said. Her cousins were probably somewhere but she didn't feel like being with the Potter/Weasly/Lupins. The girl nodded her curls bobbing. "I'm Norah," she said stopping. They both shook hands.

"I know, your dad yelled at you. I'm Lillian Marie Never, but just call me Lelee. Everyone else does. We should try to find a compartment. I don't want to get stuck next Elaine and Stalker," she said.

"Who?" she asked.

"My sister and her boyfriend. My sister's in her third year; a Hufflepuff," she said wrinkling her nose. "There was probably no where else to stick her. She's far from nice," the two girls were standing in the hallway.

"Get in a compartment!" One of the prefects yelled. The two rolled there eyes and exchanged glances before walking down the hall. That's when a door opened.

"Lelee!" yelled a tall girl with chocolate brown hair.

"Ninee!" she shouted and they both exchanged hugs. "Nenee this is a girl I just, met Norah," she said. "And Norah this is Nina Raquel Bernheardt," she said excitedly.

"OMZ! I'm so happy to meet you, we can be best friends and eat lots of chocolate and pet fluffy animals," she took a deep breath then looked at Norah who was backing away. "How did you meet her?" she said looking at Lillian.

"She stopped my cart from hitting her," Norah answered dryly. That's when Nina grabbed her arm and dragged her into a compartment where four other people were sitting. Norah, Lillian and Nina all found seats.

"Hey guys guess what? We made a new friend this is Norah," she said gesturing to the girl the was looking around at all the strange people. "Norah, that's Rex," she said pointing to a tall skinny boy with blonde hair that was wavy and fell into his eyes. "That's Lucy!" she said pointing to a girl with darkish blonde hair and green eyes that was drawing someting. "Lizzy," she said pointing to a nice looking girl with straight blonde hair and blue eyes. "And that's Sophie," she said pointing to a girl that was reading a rather old, boring looking book.

The compartment then broke into several different conversations. Norah would have been out of her element if her family didn't act like this on a dayly basis. Rex and Lucy were discussing something loudly that included a bunch of inside jokes and Lizzie was sitting really close to Rex and blushing and giggling with them. Sophie started talking with Nina and occasionly rolled her eyes and corrected her. Lillian was trying to ignore everyone but people kept on asking her questions.

"What house does everyone want to be in?" Norah asked trying to reign in on the craziness. Rex had bought a bunch of chocolate frogs and other things and was now hyper and Lucy thought it would be brilliant to set the frogs free.

"Ravenclaw," Lillian replied calmly looking at the craziness around her.

"Gryffindor," Lizzie answered quickly.

"Gryffindor for me too, it's the best," Rex said, then Lizzie looked at him with this really gushy look. "Gryffindor for me too," Nina said with a smile and bunny eyes.

"Well definatly not Hufflepuff, they're too nice. Not Gryffindor because..." at that point she looked at Rex and started laughing. "Can't be in Slytherin. I would probably fight over who's more evil then turn everyone into a mouse. So Ravenclaw!" Lucy exclaimed.

"Slytherin," Sophie said. Norah looked at her funny, but everyone else took it casually. "What? Then I have a reason to extremely dislike the people in my house," she said. "So what house do you want?"

"Not Gryffindor or Slytherin," Norah answered.

"Why?" Lizzie asked.

"Because everyone on my mom's , except her, was in Gryffindor and everyone on my dad's side was in Slytherin. Both my parents were in Slytherin." she answered. Everyone went back to normal, at least normal for them. That's when the train stopped and they heard the cry of, "First Years!"

The seven friends walked out of the compartment, in height order (as ordered by Sophie) to the boats. Norah was happy for her new friends, it helped distract her from the anxiety of the sorting.
