"Gwen!!Get Up!"I hear my mother shout. I blink my eyes open and slowly sit up in bed. I'm was turning 11 years old today I thought. I get up and walk to a mirror that was hanging next to my closet. I looked at my self closely to see if I looked any older. My big Electric Blue eyes stared back at me with excitement, my long,straight, raven black hair glinted in the sunlight that peeked through my curtains. My smooth, and pale skin was unchanged. I hadn't gained a freckle although I seemed a bit taller and less skinner as usual.I ran down the stairs and into my small kitchen. I was welcomed by my smiling parents, older brother and giggly baby sister. On the table was a small pile of presents and a pancake breakfast. I smiled widely and sat down. A large brown owl flew in through the window at that moments, bringing the mail."Gideon will you get the mail? we won't start with out you!" my mother asked. He nodded and walked over to the owl. I bounced in my seat impatiently.Gideon walked back over" well this could be possible your best birthday ever! look what came in the mail." he handed me a cream colored envelope with "Mrs. G O'Broin" on it. I was to excited to read the rest. i turned it over with shaky hands and opened it.In side was a list of things and a letter reading:
HOGWARTS SCHOOL
of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY
Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore
Dear Mrs. O'Broin,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted
at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please
find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no
later than July 31.

I Screamed.My mother started crying and my father smiled. "almost all of us are Wizard and witches now! Little Alice is next!" laughed my father. I clapped excitedly." Mom! we need to send them a letter saying I'm coming and I'll need to get my stuff!!!"I cried tugging on my moms arm."we will now...why don't we eat and open some presents?"
